Unlike college football, we mustn’t wait until Saturday for the week’s best contests. On Tuesday, Memphis hosts Alabama. Arizona State at Creighton – Tuesday, Dec. 14

It’s early, but if Memphis doesn’t turn things around, they may not make the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers have lost 4 straight heading into their gargantuan game versus Alabama.
Bama has rolled in recent games, upsetting Gonzaga on the moneyline as a +10 road dog and outlasting Houston 83-82 on Dec. 11. Unless Memphis steps it up, Alabama should be difficult to beat. The Tide continue to make their case as the SEC’s best hoops squad.

UCF at Temple – Wednesday, Dec. 15
Temple had been on a roll, winning 3 straight SU and ATS. On Dec. 11, though, St. Joe’s handed the Owls their fourth loss of the season.
UCF has lost just twice in 2021. But Central Florida is 1-3 against the spread in their last four. Temple must pick it up on the offensive end to win this. Home court advantage may give the Owls the boost they require.

Lipscomb at Florida State – Wednesday, Dec. 15
So far, the season has not turned out the way Florida State fans expected. FSU is 5-4 after 9 games. The Seminoles lost 66-65 to South Carolina on Dec. 12.
Florida State is playing so poorly that they should offer overlay odds versus Lipscomb. The road underdog is 5-6 straight up and allows close to 80 points per game on average. FSU gets well with a win and cover.

Morehead State Eagles at Xavier Musketeers – Wednesday, Dec. 15
Xavier is playing like one of the best teams in the nation. The Musketeers not only have a dynamite 9-1 moneyline record, but they’re also 8-2 against the spread.
Xavier’s opponent on Wednesday, Morehead State, averages less than 69 points per game. Even though the spread will be massive, the Musketeers should cover. Xavier might be the most underrated Top 25 team in the nation.

Appalachian State at Duke – Thursday, Dec. 16
Duke is good enough to beat Appalachian State by 50. But it’s doubtful Coach K allows Paolo Banchero, Wendell Moore, and the other starters to play more than a half against the Mountaineers.
After App State, Duke starts their ACC schedule. Coach K knows the Blue Devils must win their conference to have any shot of a 1-seed. Because the Dookies are likely to sit their starters after building a huge lead, the Mountaineers could get the backdoor cover.
