2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers WinLoss Betting Prediction for the Upcoming NFL Season

2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Win/Loss Betting Prediction for the Upcoming NFL Season

It was a rather odd offseason for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and was one filled with all kinds of ups and downs. It all began with Tom Brady announcing that he was retiring, followed by Bruce Arians stepping down as head coach. The Brady drama was over rather quickly, though, as he turned around a couple of weeks later to say that he was in fact returning for another season, although the belief is that this will be his last. Just a couple of days ago. Rob Gronkowski announced that he is retiring, which means that Brady will be without his favorite target in the 2022 season. The Bucs are still among the favorites to do well this season, but can they cross the 11 ½ win total set by the bookies. Let’s take a closer look at their upcoming season so you can get ready to bet against their NFL Win Loss Total Odds.

Buccaneers 2022 NFL Season Betting Prediction: Win/Loss Record

Buccaneers Regular Season

The Buccaneers ended the 2021 regular season on a high note, winning 3 in a row and closing things out with a 13-4 record. That did not translate to the playoffs, though, which may be one of the reasons why Brady wants another shot. The Bucs open in September with a road trip to Dallas and then away again to the Saints. They close out the opening month with a home tile versus the Packers and will likely be 2-1 at this point.

October starts with back-to-back home games versus the Chiefs and Falcons, after which they hit the road to face the Steelers and Panthers. They will close out the month at home to the Ravens. I’m looking at a 3-2 month and a 5-3 record at this point.

November starts at home to the Rams and the Seahawks, followed by a road trip to Cleveland to face a Browns team currently in some real turmoil. I have them at 7-4 after November, which would mean some work to do to cross that win total of 11 ½.

December starts with a winnable home game versus the Saints, then on the road to face the 49ers before heading home to face the Bengals. They close out December on Christmas Day in Arizona. That’s a potential for 3-1 and a 10-5 record overall.

The final 2 games of the season are against the Panthers and Falcons, both of which are of the winnable variety, which could potentially take them to 12 wins. This is a team that is potentially looking at 11 or 12 wins this season, making the win total a tough one. I might be inclined to go UNDER with this pick.

Regular Season and Beyond

Even if the Bucs fall a little short and come up with 11 wins, that should still be enough to win them the NFC South, which is certainly not as strong as it once was. 12 wins might be enough to get them the #1 seed in the NFC, but you can bet that the Rams and Packers, and maybe a couple more, might have some say in that. I think we are looking at Tampa going the Wild Card route again.
