Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears Lines – NFL Week 10 Prediction

Longtime NFC North rivals are set to collide in Week 10 as the Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions. It’s been a rough start to the NFL season for each team, and that should actually lead to a good battle.

Detroit comes into this game with an overall record of 2-6, but they did stun the Green Bay Packers in Week 9. The Lions were supposed to be a much-improved football team this season, but they just haven’t been able to figure things out.

The Chicago Bears are only slightly better at 3-6, but this team has been on the rise as the season has moved along. Chicago did trade away some key pieces of the team, but they have shown improvement in recent weeks.

The Chicago bears are 2.5-point NFL betting favorites over the Detroit Lions. Let’s take a closer look at both teams.

NFL Week 10 Betting Preview: Lions versus Bears Analysis

Lions Not Getting Stops

Detroit is going to have to start playing some defense if they want any hope of turning this season around. The Lions are allowing 29.3 points per game, and that just puts too much pressure on the offense.

Detroit is allowing 148.8 rushing yards per game, and that’s a major cause for concern in this one. Jared Goff and the Lions’ passing game will have to put up big numbers, and they have this season.

The Lions are scoring 23.5 points per match, and they have racked up 255 passing yards per night. It’s going to be a cold and windy day in Chicago, but the Lions will still be trying to throw.

Bears Running Over Opponents

The Chicago Bears might not be winning very many games, but they are definitely making their presence felt. Chicago leads the NFL with 195 rushing yards per game, and quarterback Justin Fields is a big part of that.

Fields managed to rush for 602 yards and four touchdowns this season and recently set the single-game rushing mark for a QB. The Bears still don’t have a ton in the passing game, but this rushing attack is terrific.

The defense has struggled over the last two weeks, as several key pieces are now missing. Chicago will need great play in the secondary in order to win this game.

Bears Beat Up on the Lions

There is a certain buzz around this Chicago Bears team now, and the offense has looked tremendous over the last few weeks. Detroit was a team that came into the season with a ton of hype, but they just haven’t lived up to it.

Other NFL teams have had a tough time trying to find a way to slow down Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears on offense, and the Lions won’t stand much of a chance. Detroit is going to score some points as well, but not enough to keep pace.

Bet the Chicago Bears -2.5 over the Detroit Lions in this NFC North showdown.
