They are pushing for the top spot in the Atlantic Division in what is a very tight race.
St. Louis Blues at Pittsburgh Penguins – Wednesday
This is another brilliant matchup to look forward to in a battle of East versus West. The Blues are riding high atop the Central Division, but it’s a slender 1-point lead at the moment. They have been a little more fragile on the road than at home, going 7-6-3 away from home. There is not team coming into this week hotter than the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are winners of 8 in a row. They are pushing hard to get into one of the automatic playoff spots in the Metropolitan Division, so all to play for in this one.
Calgary Flames at Tampa Bay Lightning – Thursday
I told you earlier that the Calgary Flames had a tough week ahead of them as they make their way through Florida. Thursday will see them head to Tampa Bay, looking to continue their fantastic road record that has seen them go 13-4-2 away from home. The Lightning ended last week on a bit of a skid after losing 3 in a row. They still have the lead atop the Atlantic Division, but it is down to just a single point right now. This is arguably the game of the week in the NHL.
