Four NFL Teams That Could Come Out of Nowhere and Win the Super Bowl

  • New Orleans Saints

The Saints had a Week 6 bye, which is one of the reasons they’re 4-point favorites against the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Another reason? Seattle is without Russell Wilson for the foreseeable future.

New Orleans’ offense showed signs of coming together in the 33-22 win against the WFT. Jameis Winston threw for 279 yards and 4 TDs with just 1 interception. Marcus Callaway caught 4-of-8 targets for 85 yards and 2 TDs.

If Winston bumps up his completion percentage and yards per without throwing multiple picks in a game, the Saints will be tough to beat because the defense is fantastic.

  • Cincinnati Bengals

If not for a 22-25 overtime loss to Green Bay in Week 5 and a 20-17 loss to Chicago in Week 2, the Cincinnati Bengals would be undefeated.

The Stripes proved how good of a football team they are this past Sunday when dominating the Baltimore Ravens 41-17. The win happened on the road.

Joe Burrow has become an elite quarterback and the defense has really gelled. Cincinnati has shown it’s one of the best teams in the NFL.

  • Tennessee Titans

Finally, Tennessee’s defense played a great game. In NFL Week 7, the Titans knew the Chiefs were going to concentrate on stopping running back Derrick Henry.

So instead of forcing things with Henry, Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill dominated the Chiefs’ secondary. The result was a 27-3 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tennessee is legit. In NFL Week 6, the Titans beat the Buffalo Bills. Now that Tennessee’s defense has come together, expect the Titans to roll to easy victories over AFC South foes Jacksonville and Houston

  • Indianapolis Colts

The Titans might struggle to beat the Colts, though, because like the Titans, Indianapolis is an AFC South squad that has become a contender. There are two reasons for Indy’s transformation from also-ran to Lombardi Trophy contender.

First, Carson Wentz is having the best season of his career. Wentz has thrown for 1,695 yards, 11 TDs, and a single pick.

Second, Indianapolis’ defense has gotten it together. The Colts are now 3-4 after starting the season 0-3. The remaining schedule is tough, but the way Indianapolis dominated San Francisco 30-18 on the road in their last, suggests the Colts are up to the task.
