NFL 2021 Week 9 SU Betting Analysis & Picks

NFL 2021 Week 9 SU Betting Analysis & Picks

It took 8 weeks of the season for it to happen, but we are finally down to the point where we have no unbeaten teams left to talk about. The previously unbeaten Arizona Cardinals went down to the Packers late in what could potentially be a preview of the NFC Championship Game. A few teams, most notably the Dallas Cowboys, might have something to say about that, but that’s a conversation for a later date. On the flipside, the Detroit Lions remain the only winless team in the league, with a lot of people believing that they are destined to go 0-17 this season. For now, it’s all about looking ahead to the next round of games in Week 9 and trying to pick some winners, which is what we will do now with a trio of straight up picks. Let’s jump right into action so you can keep placing your bets against the NFL odds.

Week 9 SU Picks for the 2021 Season | NFL Betting

Cincinnati Bengals over Cleveland Browns

The second half of the season is going to be huge for some of the divisional battles that we have going on. This is particularly true in the AFC North, where the race is ridiculously tight at the moment. The Cleveland Browns are in the cellar of the North with a 4-4 record, but they are not that far off the pace, as the Ravens and Bengals are both sitting on 5 wins. A loss here for Cleveland could make things a whole lot tougher and it certainly doesn’t help that QB Baker Mayfield is apparently playing with a rather painful shoulder injury. The Bengals followed up a big win over the Ravens with a poor showing in a loss to the Jets, so they will be looking to bounce back at home. They are 5-2 SU overall in their last 7 versus AFC opposition.

Las Vegas Raiders over New York Giants

There are times when a bye week can come at the worst time possible, which is what happened to the Las Vegas Raiders. After a 2-game losing skid and the controversial departure of coach Jon Gruden, the Raiders buckled down and won back-to-back games before their bye week. The hope is that the time off will not have killed their momentum. On the positive side of things, they will be going against a New York Giants team coming in on a short week after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. The Raiders are winners of 4 of their last 5 road games, while the Giants are just 3-9 SU in their last 12 games overall. I like Las Vegas to shake off the rust early and cruise to a win.

Arizona Cardinals over San Francisco 49ers

In seasons past, we have seen the wheels come off teams after taking their first loss of the season. That is what the Cardinals will be trying to avoid after falling to 7-1 while losing to the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. They will hit the road this weekend for a divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers, who snapped a 4-game losing skid with a win over the Chicago Bears in Week 8. The advantage here certainly has to be with the Cardinals, as they have won in 5 of their last 6 trips to San Francisco. They are also 10-3 SU in their last 13 overall against the 49ers, so a lot to like here.
