Underdog Tim Means has 3-inch height and reach advantages. Means is 32-14-1. Based on his submission record, 5-6, and TKO and KO record, 19-2, Tim will want to keep this from going to the mat.

Favored Alex Morono can fight standing up. But he really wants to get Means to the ground. The guess here is that Morono gets what he wishes. Expect a first or second round Means’ tap out.

The underdog in this has a fantastic 20-3 record. The record includes beating Mauricio Rua in Shogun’s last bout on Jan. 21 this year. Potieria is also 10-2 via knockout and technical knockout and 6-0 via submission.

Carlos Ulberg is 8-1. The chalk in this bout is 5-1 via TKO/KO. The records suggest Potieria should be a much shorter dog than he is. But Ulberg has much faster hands than Ihor. The favorite is the play.

Daniel Rodriguez vs. Ian Garry

UFC Odds: Daniel Rodriguez +240 vs. Ian Garry -300

Before meeting Neil Magny last November 5, Daniel Rodriguez had won four straight bouts against Mike Perry, Preston Parsons, Kevin Lee, and Li Jingliang. Magny submitted Rodriguez in the third round, which might be why Daniel is the +240 dog in this.

Another reason Rodriguez is the underdog is that Ian Gerry is undefeated with an 11-0 record. After dominating Cage Warriors, Gerry moved to UFC in 2021. He’s since won all four of his bouts. Ian continues the winning streak.

Walker has 2 inches height and 6 inches reach advantages. But the odds suggest Smith hangs with Walker. This is a tough bout because both do so many things well. But Anthony is 14-4 via submissions. His more advanced ground game should be the difference in this.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Jailton Almeida

UFC Odds: Jairzinho Rozenstruik +375 vs. Jailton Almeida -500
Weight class: Heavyweight

Rozenstruik versus Almeida should be as entertaining of a heavyweight match as we’re going to see. Jairzinho shows up the big time underdog because he’s lost 3-of-4.

However, before dumping on Jairzinho, the overall record is 13-4. Also, Rozenstruik steps into the Octagon after a victory.

Jailton Almeida hasn’t lost since 2018 when Bruno Assis beat him via unanimous decision. Since then, Jailton has won 13 straight. Almeida has won all 5 of his UFC fights, 3 via submission and 2 via knockout. The chalk shows why so many believe he’s the next great UFC heavyweight.
