2024 Divisional Teams With the Best Chance to Win the Super Bowl

Best NFL Week 8 Betting Picks: Teams to Certainly Win their Game

Written by on October 25, 2022

We can get a pretty good idea of the identities of most teams and where they are with the trade deadline approaching as the NFL season gets closer to the midway point. While injuries begin to mount, starters are beginning to reveal their true selves, and teams are starting to separate from the pack.  Let’s look at this week’s guaranteed winners to give you a head start when it comes time to put your bets against the NFL Lines.

Who Are the Sure Winners in Week 8 of NFL Action?

Baltimore Ravens (-1) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are currently 3-4 following consecutive losses to two of the NFL’s worst teams, and it seems like they haven’t found a solution to their problems on either side of the ball. Tampa Bay’s 21-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday was a new low for them as they came off absolutely incompetent against a Panthers team that seemed to be entering full tank mode after dealing for star running back Christian McCaffrey and letting head coach Matt Rhule go.

The Baltimore Ravens, on the other hand, defeated the Cleveland Browns on Sunday by a final score of 23-20. With the victory in Week Seven, they improve to 4-3 on the year in 2022 and remain in first place in the AFC North. Not only has Baltimore played better than the Buccaneers, but they have also been a much better team on the road, where they are 2-1 against the spread this year. Back Baltimore with confidence as they look like sure fire winners in Week Eight.

Washington Commanders (+3) vs Indianapolis Colts

How on earth are the Colts favored in this matchup? Indianapolis has played sluggishly and terribly all year with a 3-3-1 record. Although they are playing at home, Indianapolis has been ravaged by injuries and will start a quarterback who is making his first professional start. Indianapolis is averaging just 16.1 points per game, while their defense has been equally as bad, with just seven takeaways on the year.

The Washington Commanders make the list of sure fire winners this week after Taylor Heinicke kept the chains moving after getting back under center for Washington. The Commanders were able to shut down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at home 23-21, and they have now won back-to-back games.

Oddsmakers got this one wrong giving the Commanders three extra points in this matchup. Taylor Heinicke knows the offense, and their rushing attack dominated green Bay last week, accumulating 166 yards on the ground. The Colts are conceding 123.4 rushing yards per game this year, and that should open the door for them to control the time of possession and ultimately cruise to victory.

Green Bay Packers vs Buffalo Bills (-8)

Fresh from their bye week, the Buffalo Bills are prepared to take on the Green Bay Packers. Let’s keep this one simple, Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL right now and is near lock for the MVP leading all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns while adding two more scores on the ground. Not only does the Bills offense lead the league in total yards, their defense in also giving up the least amount of points in the league.

The Packers are slowly and painfully falling from grace in the NFL. The Packers’ offensive shortcomings have received a lot of attention while reports are out that Aaron Rodgers seems to not even want to be there, according to his body language. Despite their lack of weapons at wide receiver, their defense also deserves their fair share of criticism as they rank 30th in the NFL with just four takeaways on the year.

The bottom line is the Bills are undefeated at home this year and have conceded just ten points at Highmark Stadium so far in 2022. They dominated the Chiefs last week and should dominate the Packers in Week Eight.
