In any other season, the 2021 world champion might once again be sitting on top of the standings at the midway point, but it’s impossible to match what Bautista has done this season. In the races that he has finished this season, which is 17 of the 18 races to this point, Razgatlioglu has won twice and never been off the podium. He has 264 points, which has him on pace to come very close to matching the total he posted when he won it all a couple of years back. While the championship race looks to be a 2-horse affair, for the other racers, it’s all about putting in a personal best at this point. For Locatelli, his current 3rd place standing would be his best finish in his time with SBK, assuming he can maintain this level through the second half of the season.
