We are in the thick of the conference schedule, with the end of the regular season now very much in sight. The battle for the 4 playoff spots looks like it might go all the way down to the wire, with the same story also happening in the conference races. Every game is huge at this point and the pressure is very much on every team that is still vying for their conference championship or a playoff spot. We are going to try and find some Week 9 matchups where we really like the point total and will select 3 games in this category. Oklahoma Sooners at Kansas Jayhawks

If you can expect anything from a Big 12 matchup, it’s that the point total is going to be on the higher side of things. This conference always seems to deliver offensive duels, which is exactly what I think we will see in this game. The Sooners have seen the OVER hit in 6 of their last 9 games, as well as in 8 of their last 12 versus conference opponents. It is much the same story for the Kansas Jayhawks, who have seen the OVER hit in 8 of their last 11 games overall. The last 10 meetings between these two has averaged 65 PPG, so we are right on the line here, but I do think this one will creep over.

BYU Cougars at Texas Longhorns

The Texas Longhorns are a 1-loss team that is still holding out hopes of making the playoffs, although they will be well aware that they will need to go unbeaten the rest of the way and win the Big 12 to have a legit shot at doing enough to get in. They have what should be a fairly comfortable home game against BYU this weekend, but how will the point total look for this one? BYU are very much tending OVER, with 5 of their last 6 games going that route. It is the same story for BYU in road games, with each of their last 5 going OVER. Texas has been trending more toward the UNDER of late, but I think the total in this game is low enough that these two can take it OVER.

Colorado Buffaloes at UCLA Bruins

With the losses starting to pile up, much of the early season hype surrounding Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes is starting to die down. That said, there are still a lot of fans tuning into their games, as every weekend seems to be another fun show, with the points piling up at an incredible rate. I think we are looking at another offensive battle this weekend when the Buffaloes head to Southern California to face the UCLA Bruins in what should be a barn burner. Colorado has seen 13 of their last 18 games go OVER the point total, while the Bruins have seen 7 of their last 9 versus teams in the South go OVER. I think we get a ton of scoring in this one.
