Illinois -8.5 at Purdue

Purdue has lost their last couple of games 33-17 to USC and 56-30 to Notre Dame.

For sure, the Boilermakers will play better against Illinois than they did versus Notre Dame but another 20 point loss is more than possible.

This is especially true after the Illini rallied to upset USC in NCAAF Week 5.

Lay the -8.5 on Illinois.

Oklahoma State at Arizona -17.5

Iowa State drubbed the AZ Wildcats in a 39-14 pasting.

However, before jumping on a lousy Oklahoma State to keep it close, it’s important to note that Arizona missed a field goal, Noah Fifita threw a pick, and the Cats had three punts in their first five possessions.

Fifita ended up throwing for 253 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Expect a big bounce back effort.

Vanderbilt at Alabama -13.5

Then against Miami, the score ended up 26-7 Canes but Miami scored 13 of the 26 in the fourth.

Archie Manning is struggling behind a suspect offensive line and the Gators D is playing well.

Let’s try and pick games across 3 different start times this week.

To begin with, I am taking Pitt at home against Boston College in what looks like a very entertaining matchup.

Vanderbilt is out to an impressive start, but they will get a tough test this weekend against Alabama, who are coming off a huge win over Georgia last week.

I like Alabama to continue rolling.

UNLV is in as a 3½ point favorite over Wyoming, but I think their margin of victory will be a good deal more comfortable.

Let’s take another underdog to close this one out.

While I do think Houston will lose to Texas Tech this weekend, I think they will cover as an 11½ point dog.
