2024 College Football Season

It’s that time of the year again. What time is it?

It’s time for college football sports betting fans like us to get down to business and find our over NCAAF win total plays.

In this blog, we only choose college programs that are likely to go over their win totals.

Check out six teams, along with college football total odds, which have the best chances of hitting over their win number.

NCAAF Win Total Over Picks

Georgia over 10.5 wins -122

The Bulldogs have a tough schedule with road games versus Texas and Alabama and a game against Clemson and one versus Tennessee.

But Georgia is loaded on both sides of the ball with seniors and juniors.

Heisman Trophy favorite Carson Beck throws for the Dawgs.

Also, UGA is still smarting after not having secured a bid to the College Football Playoff last season.

Unless something strange happens, the Bulldogs go undefeated.

Ole Miss over 9.5 wins -124

Ole Miss do play Georgia and are at LSU this season, but other than that, Lane Kiffin’s squad should secure win after win.

Even the game in Baton Rouge versus Brian Kelly’s Tigers is a possible victory.

Jaxon Dart is, like Beck at Georgia, a Heisman Trophy candidate.

Dart will run an offense that will be unstoppable in most of the Rebels’ games.

USC over 7.5 wins +100

Three games on USC’s schedule stand out: versus LSU, at Michigan, and versus Penn State this NCAAF season.

The Michigan game holds the most danger for the Trojans.

Even though USC must play LSU, that game happens at Allegiant Stadium where the fans will be behind USC.

The Penn State game takes place at the L.A. Coliseum.

So if USC loses all three, they finish 9-3.

That’s 1.5 games over the total.

The +100 is an overlay payout while the 7.5 is too low.

Arizona over 7.5 wins -110

At Kansas State, at Utah, at BYU, at UCF, and at TCU means Arizona is going to have to work for it.

The trend is that Zona goes over, though, because the odds had Arizona at +110 over and -120 under.

The massive change in odds in the past couple of weeks means that college football handicappers have begun to realize that no team has the same QB/WR combo in Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan that the Arizona Wildcats possess.

The Cats can get it done. 9 games is a possibility with this talented bunch.

Ohio State over 10.5 wins -150

The final two teams on this list are let’s cash a ticket squads.

At -150, Ohio State should be a lock to win at least 11 games.

Based on their schedule, they are a lock to win 11.

The Buckeyes should be a lock to win 12.

The only tough games are at Oregon, at Penn State, and versus Michigan.

The game against the Wolverines happens in Columbus and the Bucks are better than the Nittany Lions.

Beating Oregon in Autzen won’t be easy, but even if Ohio State loses that tilt, it’s still 11 wins.

SMU over 7.5 wins -176

There is a reason SMU offers a -176 payout to win 8 games.

The Mustangs have a relatively easy schedule.

BYU, TCU, Florida State, and Louisville, a 4 game stretch early in the season, will determine if SMU goes over.

The Mustangs should win 2 of the 4 games and not lose the rest of the way.

Like Zona, SMU could win up to 10 games this season.

NCAAF Win Totals Over Picks for the 2021 Season

Previous Betting News

Every team in college football comes into the season with some level of expectation placed squarely on their shoulders. For the bigger teams, it’s all about making a run at the National Championship, while others are looking to improve on the previous season or even just pick up a few wins. All of that comes into play when the bookies release the win totals for every team prior to the start of the season. Those win totals are on the board, and while the bookies are usually incredibly accurate, there are always a few totals that stand out as potentially good bets. In a different article, we talked about the best UNDER picks for this season, so now we are going to turn our attention to teams that might well go OVER the win total. Let’s jump right into action so you plan your bets against the NCAAF Regular Season Wins Odds.

NCAAF – Sure College Football Win Totals Over Picks

Texas Longhorns (8)

All the news around the Texas Longhorns campus this offseason has been about their upcoming move to the SEC, which will happen for the 2025 season. For now, this team is focusing on the season ahead of them and getting OVER that 8-win total. The Longhorns went 7-3 last year in a shortened season, which included 5 conference wins. Their non-conference schedule looks more than manageable this season, so you really do have to like their chances of getting those 8 wins and potentially getting to 9, with 10 probably being the high bar.

SMU Mustangs (6 ½)

This may well be the best bet on the board right now, as I am a little surprised to see a team that went 7-3 last season with such a low total. Yes, they lost their starting QB to the draft, but they have a trio of guys who could easily step in and take the starting role. This is a team that is going to be fun to watch when the offense is on the field, and while they are a little leaky on the offensive side of things, I still think that they are a very good bet for the OVER. The SMU Mustangs were very active in the transfer portal and could well be one of the teams to beat in the AAC.

Illinois Fighting Illini (3 ½)

This is another total that looks to be a bit of a bargain, especially when you consider that the Illini have a very good coach taking over the reins this season. Bret Bielima had some real success in the Big Ten during his time with Wisconsin, while also taking Arkansas to a trio of bowl games in his time there. He is going to need time to build the team he wants, but he does have a few pieces that he can work with this season. This will be the start of a rebuild, but I think Illinois gets OVER that 3 ½ win mark rather comfortably.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (5 ½)

One of the issues that the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers faced last season was an offense that was borderline anemic at times. Despite that obstacle, they still managed to grind out 5 wins, including 3 of their last 4 to close out the regular season. They brought in a new offensive coordinator, who brought his QB with him, so expect to see much better things out of the WKU offense this season, which should be enough to get them over that 5 ½ win total.
