LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs Odds: Round 4 Betting Preview: #3 LNG vs. #2 JDG

LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs Odds: Round 4 Betting Preview: #3 LNG vs. #2 JDG

The fourth round of the LPL Summer Playoffs has given us four familiar faces, with only the top seeds remaining. The bracket has gone surprisingly chalk for such a volatile region, but LNG has a chance to reverse the fortunes of the underdogs against the region’s leader in Championship Points.

LNG narrowly escaped a best-of-five series against Weibo Gaming, but they have a strong track record this season. JDG struggled to topple fellow MSI attendees Bilbili Gaming in the regular season but are much more of a top seed than a two seed at their current power.

MyBookie has the LoL betting lines as we look at JD Gaming vs. LNG Esports, who will meet in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

Top Lane

After Zika’s performance against Weibo Gaming, we now have a clear picture of LNG’s emergency top lane champion. Jax was used in the final two wins, giving Zika a solid 16/12/26 KDA on the series.

If it’s possible to finish a regular season quietly despite a 4.8 KDA, 369 managed to do so for JDG. His thirteen games of Ornn and eleven on K’sante give him a solid pool of tanks to choose from, and he poses a  big threat to Zika in this matchup.

Jungle

Assists were the name of the game for Tarzan last week against Weibo, with 63 of them across five matches. He piloted Maokai in two games but surprisingly unleashed a potent Skarner performance in the deciding match. He has great synergy with the bot lane duo and was a big part of ensuring Gala secured 26 kills on the series.

Kanavi still ranks among the world’s most dangerous junglers, finishing the regular season with a KDA of 5.9 and a 67.8% kill participation score. He’s done so with a diversified champion pool, including at least three games on Wukong, Vi, Virgo, Ivern, and Kha’Zix.

Mid Lane

Jayce and Azir were on the menu for Scout in LNG’s last series, with mixed results. Both champions played a part in wins and losses, but Scout’s scoreline remained impressive at 33/14/31 on the series. Scout has a tough matchup ahead of him against one of the world’s best players in Knight, but is capable enough for the task.

However, it’s fair to believe that Knight is impossible to surpass. With eight games each on Annie and Ahri and a Jayce that has been banned over 50% of the time this summer, JDG has so many options to ensure Knight is fed.

Bot Lane

GALA was electric for LNG in the series against Weibo, with a 26/6/43 scoreline over five games. His inability to die was frustrating for fans of Weibo, and he did it with a mixed pool of Ziggs, Varus, Xayah, and Aphelios.

Speaking of Xayah, Ruler finished the regular season at peak form, with fourteen matches played on the champion and an overall KDA of 6.8. Credit is due to JDG’s support Missing, who played sixteen games of Rakan and boasts a kill participation score of 70.8%
