The Slovenians put up a spirited fight against Canada in the quarterfinals but couldn’t overcome the Canadians’ depth in the lineup. Slovenia is led by Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who has played an excellent tournament thus far. Doncic leads the tournament in scoring at 26.4 points per game but has struggled from the outside.

Doncic has only made 23.8 percent of his 3-point shots despite attempting an average of 8.4 per contest. Slovenia, as a whole, has had a hard time making 3-pointers. The Lithuanians also don’t have one player that needs to carry the load.

Jonas Valanciunas (13.2 points per game), Rokas Jokubaitis (12.8), and Ignas Brazdeikis (11.3) all average in double figures scoring. Valanciunas has also been excellent on the glass, leading the team by pulling down 8.3 rebounds per game. Lithuania was 5-0 in the competition before losing to Serbia.
