Korn Ferry Tour Albertsons Boise Open Betting Odds to Win

The Korn Ferry Tour moves into its postseason with the opening round of the KFT Finals played this week at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron.

Tournament play will take place at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho. The opening round of the four-day individual stroke play event begins on Thursday, August 24th, and concludes on Sunday, August 27th.

Played since 1990, the tournament in the Gem State is the first stop for players attempting to lock up one of the 30 available TOUR cards. The field of 156 will be reduced following the event to 144, then 120, and finally 75, much like the FedEx Cup Playoffs on the PGA Tour.

Will Gordon is the defending champion of the tournament, outlasting MJ Daffue and Philip Knowles in a playoff last season. Gordon fired a four-day total of 263 (21-under) to pick up his lone career victory on the KFT.

Let’s dive into the golf analysis of the Albertsons Boise Open field, look at their Korn Ferry Tour betting lines and find out why they have those lines before placing your next golf bets.

Thursday, August 24th – Sunday August 27th, 2023
Hillcrest Country Club, Boise, Idaho

Hillcrest Country Club

Formerly a nine-hole layout called the Idaho Country Club, the venue became Hillcrest Country Club in 1940, with the second nine holes added to the property in 1958. The course was designed by course designer A. Vernon Macan who had his hand in many notable designs throughout the northwest U.S. and into Canada.

Hillcrest has been the host of the Boise Open since its inception in 1990, which has featured many winners that have gone on to have success at the PGA Tour level.

A par-71 on the scorecard, the 6,825 layout plays at approximately 2,800 feet above sea level. The shorter layout puts an emphasis on accuracy off the tee, with mature trees lining the fairways.

The averaging winning score over the last five years has hovered near 20-under par, so players will need to be in attack mode from the opening tee on Thursday to have a shot at the title and one of the biggest purses on the KFT circuit.

The five top players on the current KFT points list are in action this week, along with eight of the top 10 on the list. The only two players inside the top 10 not in action this week are Adrien Dumont de Chassart (no. 6), who just locked up his PGA Tour card with his T11 finish at last week’s Magnit Championship, and Nicholas Lindheim (no. 10).

The drama heightens for players coming into the KFT Playoffs sitting just inside or outside the Top 30 on the points list. With elevated purses and more points awarded over the next four weeks, the ebbs and flows of the projected standings will be fluid and changing by the minute.

Players looking to put a good week together to either solidify their spot or jump into the top 30 include Cody Blick (no. 26), Brett Drewitt (no. 27), Logan McAllister (no. 28), John VanDerLaan (no. 29), and Greyson Murray (no. 30).

Players just outside the top 30 in the field this week are Taylor Dickson (no. 31), Chase Seiffert (no. 32), Roger Sloan (no. 33), Matt McCarty (no. 34), and Chris Gotterup (no. 35). Only 38 points separate Gotterup from Murray at 30th.
