ONE Championship: Empower Betting Analysis & Predictions

If you don’t mind getting up a little early on Friday morning, then you can get in on some serious MMA action, with the One Championship Empower event set to begin at 8:30 AM EST on Friday morning. You have a title fight on the main card, which is just one of the reasons why it might be a good idea to set your alarm and watch some great fights while you eat your breakfast. There are 6 fights set for the main card, but the opener of the evening is a kickboxing bout, so we will skip that and focus instead on the other 5. Let’s get right to it so you can get ready to make your bets against the ONE Championship odds.

MMA Betting Analysis for ONE Championship: Empower

Itsuki Hirata Vs Alyse Anderson

The opening fight of the night is a tournament quarterfinal in the 115lb weight division. Both women are off to very good starts to their pro career, with Hirata coming in with a perfect 4-0 record, while Anderson is 5-1 and on a 2-fight win streak after taking her first career loss. Both of these fighters have shown an ability to get the job done inside the distance, but I think this one goes all the way, with Hirata getting the decision.

Bo Meng Vs Ritu Phogat

This is the second of the quarterfinals at 115 lbs and looks to be another very good battle in the making. Meng is the top-rated fighter at this weight class in China and comes into this fight on an impressive 7-fight win streak. Phogat is the lesser experienced of the 2 fighters, but with a 5-1 record as a pro, she certainly cannot be overlooked. Another one that could go the distance, with Meng coming away with the win.

Alyona Rassohnya Vs Stamp Fairtex

The next of the quarterfinal bouts feature a fighter looking to bounce back from her first career loss. That would be Fairtex, who fell to 5-1 after taking the defeat in her last bout. That loss came at the hands of Rassohnya, who picked up her 3rd straight win to take her career record to 13-4. We all know that it is very difficult to beat the same fighter twice in back-to-back fights, which is why I am leaning towards Fairtex here.

Denice Zamboanga Vs Seo Hee Ham

The last of the quarterfinal bouts may well be the most interesting of the bunch, as it features youth versus experience. Zamboanga, who is 10 years younger than Ham, comes in with a perfect 8-0 record, but this will be a tough one. Ham is 23-8 and comes into this bout on a hot run of form, winning each of her last 6 fights. This might be too big of a step for Zamboanga, which is why I am on Ham to get the win on Friday.

Jingnan Xiong Vs Michelle Nicolini

The headline bout of the night is a Flyweight championship bout that will see Xiong try to defend her crown. Xiong is returning to this weight class after a couple of great Strawweight bouts versus Angela Lee, with those fights split. Ironically enough, Nicolini comes into this fight on the heels of a win over Lee, so while she is the challenger, she is in with a shout here. That said, I think it will be Xiong who retains the belt.
