He is sitting just below the playoff cut line at the top level, so he will be looking to get a win on Saturday in hopes that his success here carries over into the Sunday race. It should be noted, though, that this is certainly not a foregone conclusion, as he has dropped down 5 times already this season and failed to win in any of his races with the Xfinity Series. While that is a red flag, you should also take note that he won this corresponding race last season.

John H. Nemechek

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +490

Nemechek has bounced around the different series in NASCAR in his career but has decided to settle in the Xfinity Series this season. It’s a move that appears to be reaping dividends, as he is sitting in 2nd in the driver standings, just 14 points out of the lead. He has won 4 races this season, including back-to-back wins a few weeks ago. He has been a little cold of late, though, finishing outside the top 30 in each of the last 2 races. I would not count on that slump lasting much longer, so he might be worth a look this weekend.

Justin Allgaier

In life there are a couple of certainties, with death and taxes at the top of the list. Perhaps we should add Allgaier challenging for the championship to that list, as he always seems to be in the mix with the playoffs approaching. The fact that he has yet to win an Xfinity Series title is surprising when you consider the number of times he has made it all the way to the final four. He is right there again this season, but he does only have 1 win thus far. Perhaps he can change that this weekend, as he finished 2nd in Michigan last season.

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +580

I’ll admit that it is a little surprising to see Berry this high up on the bookies board for this race, especially when you consider that he has yet to win a race this season. Berry finds himself sitting in 7th in the driver standings right now, with just a pair of podium finishes to his name. He finished 4th and 6th, respectively, in his last 3 races in Michigan, so it might be worth taking him to finish in the top 5 this weekend.
