The AFC South is going to be quite an interesting division as the 2023 National Football League season arrives.

The division is not really strong, but the division may see some surprises. There are several teams in the division that fans do not quite understand. The quarterback group in the AFC South is not really strong.

The 23-year-old out of Clemson had a fantastic season last year. With his season, many are putting him in the Justin Herbert category or “outside looking in” for MVP of this league.

The 1st overall pick in the 2021 draft threw for 4,113 yards and 25 touchdowns a season ago. Lawrence only threw eight interceptions, which was much of the reason Jacksonville not only won their division but won a first-round playoff game.

The Jaguars are the favorites in the division this season, and Lawrence will look to improve upon that 66.3% completion rate of a season ago. Jacksonville is going to be a fun team to keep an eye on!

The Titans would like to see Malik Willis play, but he has to show he’s ready to win in this league. Tannehill, a season ago, finished with 2,536 yards and 13 touchdowns but missed several games with injuries.

Tannehill is not going to WOW you, but with the right pieces around him, he can win football games. He is just 86 pass competitions away from 3,000 in his career and has gone over the 33,000 passing mark. He’s had a long history in this league; he’s got to be doing something right.

Michael Pittman Jr is the go-to guy in the passing game for Minshew. With the question marks in the running game, it’s hard not to feel bad for Minshew as 2023 gets started.

There is a lot to wonder about with Minshew, but letting the 2023 season play out, as he plays ahead of Sam Ehlinger, is the best bet.

If these rankings were based on potential, Stroud would rise to the top quickly.

He is about ready to start his rookie season in the league as a 21-year-old out of Ohio State. Stroud was the 2ndoverall pick in the 2023 draft. The Texans are a question mark. They added some pieces to join the rookie, but let’s see if that pays off at all.

Nico Collins, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III, along with Dalton Schultz, will be his receivers in 2023. He has the ability; now let’s see how well it correlates to the National Football League.
