2022 NBA Week 12

When: Monday, Jan. 2 – Sunday, Jan. 8

New Orleans Pelicans vs Philadelphia 76ers

Monday, Jan. 2

The Sixers have cooled off after a recent hot stretch, but any team with Joel Embiid anchoring the offense and defense is always going to be a threat on a nightly basis. They could definitely use more out of James Harden, however.

The Pelicans have been rolling as of late, with Zion Williamson continuing to rise in the league and establish himself as an MVP candidate this season.

New Orleans is 19-17 against the spread, whereas Philadelphia is 20-14-2.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets

Thursday, Jan. 5

The Clippers are getting themselves back into championship contention, as Kawhi Leonard appears to be regaining his full form while Paul George is continuing to be the elite scorer and defender that he is.

The Nuggets are proving to be legit as of late, as they recently defeated the Boston Celtics pretty convincingly, led by Nikola Jokic and company.

Los Angeles is 20-18 against the spread, whereas Denver is 18-18.

Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks

Thursday, Jan. 5

The Celtics have cooled off a little bit from their blazing-hot start to the season, but with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the way with the depth they have with scorers and defenders, this team is still one of the toughest to beat in the league.

The Mavericks are finding their footing a little bit, as Luka Doncic is putting up historic numbers across the board, with the Mavs winning games as a result.

Boston is 21-16 against the spread, whereas Dallas is 13-22-2.

Brooklyn Nets vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Friday, Jan. 6

The Nets are the hottest team in the league, as Kevin Durant is shooting the ball the best he’s ever had in his career, and Kyrie Irving is taking his game to a whole new level.

The Pelicans will be throwing out Zion Williamson and their gritty core to go up against the Nets, which should provide for some entertaining basketball.

Brooklyn is 18-17-1 against the spread, whereas New Orleans is 19-17.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Denver Nuggets

Sunday, Jan. 6

The Cavs are one of the best defensive teams in the league, with plenty of scoring to go around for them, with Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland leading the way for them.

The Nuggets are firmly in the mix for the championship conversation, as Nikola Jokic is a serious threat to win a third straight MVP Award.

Cleveland is 18-16-3 against the spread, whereas Denver is 18-18.
