NCAAF Betting Predictions & Expert Analysis for Week 12

With just two regular season games left for most teams, the college football season is nearing an end. A loss at this point in the season can end a team’s shot at making the playoffs. We’ve made it to Week 12 of the season, and there are some very important games on the docket. Let’s take a look at some of those games, and we’ll make some betting predictions on them so you can bet against their NCAAF odds.

Top 2021 NCAAF Week 12 Matches to Keep An Eye On

Oregon Ducks @ Utah Utes (-3)

This is the biggest game of the year in the Pac 12, as these are the two division leaders at this point in the season. We could very well see this game being played again in the Pac 12 championship game. Night games in Salt Lake City have traditionally been a nightmare for the opposition, so we’ll see if the Ducks can handle the hostile environment.

With already having a loss to Stanford, Oregon knows that another loss will all but dock them out of the playoffs, so they know that they have to get out of Salt Lake City with a win. Both teams are on a winning streak, as Oregon has won five in a row, while Utah has won its last three.

The oddsmakers like Utah in this one, and we have to agree with them. We just have a hunch that this is a trap game for Oregon, and they won’t come out of Salt Lake City with a win. The Utes will win this one by a touchdown, and will knock the Oregon Ducks out of playoff contention.

Michigan State @ Ohio State (-19.5)

This is a huge game for both teams. They both know that a loss will knock them out of the Big 10 Championship game, and any shot at making the College Football Playoffs. Michigan State rebounded well from their loss to Purdue, as they disposed of the Maryland Terrapins. Ohio State destroyed Purdue to set up this matchup of one loss teams.

Michigan State’s game plan will be to keep the Ohio State offense off of the field. The Buckeyes will be geared up to stop Heisman Trophy candidate Kenneth Walker III. If Walker can gain yardage and grind the clock down, it will be huge for Michigan State.

Michigan State’s defense isn’t among the top defenses in the country, and that doesn’t bode well for them entering Saturday’s game. Ohio State has one of the top offenses in the country. CJ Stroud and his extremely talented group of receivers will look to exploit Michigan State’s secondary. If Stroud can avoid making key mistakes, they should be able to move the ball on the Spartans’ defense.

While we think that the Buckeyes will win this game, we’re not sold on the fact that they’ll cover the spread. 19.5 points is a lot, and we think that the Michigan State Spartans can keep it closer than that. This will be a high-scoring affair that will be won by Ohio State by a score of 38-24.
