2021 NCAAF Season Week 5 SU Betting Picks to Wager On

2021 NCAAF Season Week 5 SU Betting Picks to Wager On

We are one month into the 2021 college football season, and you have to say that the top 10 is more than a little surprising. How many of you would have guessed that both Clemson and Ohio State would be sitting outside the top 10 at this stage of the season. That is where we are, though, and it is Alabama and Georgia who still look like the teams to beat this year. That said, given what we have seen to this point, things could look very different in just a few short weeks from now. There are some huge games that will have an impact on the National Rankings this weekend, some of which we have in our SU picks for Week 5. We are 8-4 SU this season but remember that we always try and go with games that the bookies see as being close. With all that in mind, let’s jump right into action so you can continue betting against the NCAAF odds.

College Football SU Picks for Week 5

Georgia Bulldogs over Arkansas Razorbacks

Okay, so the bookies have the Bulldogs in as a rather large favorite for this one, but when you have a pair of top 10 teams going head-to-head, I don’t think that you can necessarily look at it as a slam dunk pick. The question that the Arkansas Razorbacks will need to answer is whether they can do any damage to a Georgia defense that has been nothing short of brilliant this season. They are also just 1-7 SU in their last 8 meetings with Georgia, so a lot to overcome this weekend. The Bulldogs have won each of their last 7 games at home and are now unbeaten in 8 straight overall. These may not be the best odds, but I think adding the Dawgs to your parlay tickets is a good idea.

Cincinnati Bearcats over Notre Dame Fighting Irish

We are a little spoiled this weekend, as this is the second game that will feature a pair of top 10 teams squaring off. For these two, though, a loss likely means missing out on the playoffs, as the committee does not tend to be kind to teams outside the Power 5, even when they go unbeaten. The Cincinnati Bearcats come into this weekend on a run that has seen them go 13-1 SU in their last 14, with that lone defeat coming in a bowl game versus the Georgia Bulldogs. Notre Dame are always tough at home and have won their last 5 meetings versus teams from the AAC. That said, I don’t think they match up very well with Cincy and could come out on the wrong end of things in a low-scoring game.

Oklahoma State Cowboys over Baylor Bears

Given the schedule in Week 5, the winner of this one is likely to make a nice little move up the National Rankings. As it is, both teams are in the top 25 and both come in with 4-0 records to start the season. The Bears are sure to be riding high after beating the Iowa State Cyclones as an underdog in Week 4, but this road trip has proven to be troublesome in the past. Baylor has won just 2 of their last 13 games when on the road to Oklahoma State. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are now winners of 6 straight and are 7-1 SU in the last 8 games played in their own building. This should be a fun game to watch, but I am leaning the way of the Cowboys.
