Monday Night Football Odds: Titans Battle Dolphins with Tyler Huntley at QB – NFL Week 4

The first game of the Week 4 Monday night doubleheader features the winless Tennessee Titans at the one-win Miami Dolphins, who will give Tyler Huntley his first-ever start in a Fins uniform at quarterback.

Tennessee Titans +118

Will Levis

“Oh yeah,” Callahan said when asked about Levis as his starter. “We’ve also got to play better around him. I’m not going to overreact to an interception. Those things happen, guys throw picks, we just can’t give it to their team. It’s a killer. But we’ve not played a complete game in any phase at any point yet.”

So far this season, Levis has completed 64-of-94 passes for 578 yards and four touchdowns, but with five interceptions and three fumbles.

DeAndre Hopkins

He looks to extend his active streak to 166 consecutive games with a reception — every game he has played since he entered the NFL.

Miami Dolphins -145

With QB Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve with yet another concussion, the Dolphins had to start former seventh-round pick Skylar Thompson under center last Sunday in Seattle and predictably got hammered 24-3. Thompson ended up leaving with a ribs injury and will only be the emergency third-string QB for this one. Recently signed Huntley will start and journeyman Tim Boyle, who relieved Thompson in Seattle, will be the No. 2.

Mike McDaniel

Why did Coach McDaniel make the decision to start Huntley? His elusiveness and escapability should be a plus. He has 115 rushing attempts for 509 yards (4.4 per carry) in his NFL career.

“One thing that has been supremely obvious to the team since he got here,” McDaniel said, “is that he started multiple and many big games, and as a quarterback, he understands exactly what is required to win over teammates, take the place of somebody else and assert their own personality and their own skill set and their own traits within the offense and lead people. The ability to make plays is a broad, overarching statement. You can do it in a multitude of ways. I’m expecting him to be comfortable making plays in various ways. I see him being able to utilize his skill sets within the framework of the offense.”

Injuries

Running back Raheem Mostert (chest), who is listed as questionable, “is trying” to be ready for the contest according to McDaniel. Mostert, who has missed the Dolphins’ last two games, logged limited practices this past week. If Mostert is unavailable, De’Von Achane, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright would handle backfield duties against Tennessee.

A victory Monday would be Miami’s first win against Tennessee since Week 1 of the 2018 season, improve the Dolphins’ home record to 15-5 under McDaniel, also improve the team to 8-3 overall in September under McDaniel and be the franchise’s 498th overall regular-season win, putting it two wins away from becoming the 19th franchise in history to reach 500 overall. The Dolphins are 43-44 all-time on MNF. Miami’s six games with multiple receptions of 50+ yards are the most in the NFL since 2022.
