FIFA World Cup Qualifying Matches

  • When: Thursday, March 25

Group F

  • Denmark -138 / Israel +394

Israel is in decent form. On Oct. 14, they beat Slovakia 3-2. The Czech Republic beat Israel 1-0 in their next international match. The Israelis bounced back with a 1-0 win against Scotland on Nov. 18. As well as Israel has played on the world stage, they could be up against it versus Denmark. Save for a 4-2 loss versus Belgium on Nov. 18, the Danes played great last fall, winning their four previous efforts. The road team gets the nod.

Soccer Pick: Denmark

  • Faroe Islands +202 / Moldova +154

Faroe Islands is in slightly better form than Moldova. The home squad has 4 losses and a draw in their last 5. Faroe drew in their final two UEFA Nations League games versus Latvia and Malta. Moldova battled the better teams, but Faroe Islands offers overlay odds to win this.

Soccer Pick: Faroe Islands

  • Austria +117 / Scotland +229

Scotland did not end their Nations League matches on a high note. The Scottish lost their final 2 games both by a goal to Slovakia and Israel. Austria had won 4 straight before drawing 1-1 against Norway. Austria looks like the better team in this matchup.

Soccer Pick: Austria

Group I

  • Albania -1 ½ (-113) / Andorra +1 ½ (-116)

There’s a reason Albania offers 1 ½ goals. Andorra played awful in the UEFA Nations League. Portugal dusted Andorra 7-0 on Nov. 11. On Nov. 17, Latvia beat Andorra 5-0. Albania should win this by at least 2 goals.

Soccer Pick: Albania

  • Poland +106 / Hungary +274

One of the week’s most intriguing matches pits Robert Lewandowski led Poland against better than most believe Hungary. Poland is the chalk, but Hungary heads into this in better international form. The Polish lost their last couple of international games. The Hungarians beat Turkey 2-0 on Nov. 18 and drew with Serbia 1-1 on Nov. 15. Poland offers underlay odds while the home squad is an overlay at +274.

Soccer Pick: Hungary

  • England / San Marino
  • O 7 ½ (+102) / Under 7 ½ (-135)

The listed odds pegged England a close to -5000 chalk. It’s impossible to bet on the moneyline when faced with odds like that. So we’re turning our attention to the over / under. Can England score enough goals for the over? England beat Iceland 4-0 on Nov. 18. But that’s 4. This total is 7 ½. San Marino scored just 2 goals in 5 matches last fall. England hasn’t allowed a goal in 3 straight. Under is the play.

Soccer Pick: Under

Group J

  • Germany / Iceland

Once MyBookie sets odds, no doubt we’re going to have to turn to the over / under in this match as well. Germany scored 3 against Swiss and 3 versus Ukraine. The Germans aren’t going all out and driving up goals versus bad teams. Iceland allowed England to score 4, but before that, they allowed only 2 versus Denmark, Hungary, and Belgium. If you play the total in this, look for 2 ½. If the total is 2 ½ consider going over. If the total is 3 or 3 ½, consider the under.

Soccer Pick: Over or Under

  • Romania / North Macedonia

Because Romania has played against much better teams, they figure to offer favorite’s odds. North Macedonia, the home squad, has shown decent form, though. The N. Macedonians dropped their final UEFA Nations League match to Armenia. Before that, they beat Georgia 1-0 and Estonia 2-1. Give the home squad a shot.

Soccer Pick: North Macedonia

  • Liechtenstein / Armenia

Armenia is in great form. The home team has won 3 and drawn twice in their last 5. Liechtenstein has lost twice, drawn twice, and show a victory against Luxembourg on Oct. 7. Armenia should win this. If the moneyline odds aren’t attractive, look for handicap odds.

Soccer Pick: Armenia
