UEFA World Cup Qualifying Matches to Bet On Thursday

Paraguay +220 vs Bolivia +126

• When: Thursday, Oct. 14

Bolivia used to be one of CONMENBOL’s worst teams. But on Oct. 10, the Bolivians upset the Peruvians 1-0. This happens on Bolivia’s pitch, which gives them a big advantage.

The odds on Bolivia, though, makes them unplayable. Paraguay fell to Chile in their last and it wasn’t close. However, losing 0-2 should motivate the Paraguayans. The road squad is the play.

Ecuador +400 vs Colombia -144

• When: Thursday, Oct. 14

Colombia has drawn in 4-of-5. Although that doesn’t make Colombia a solid choice against Ecuador on Thursday, it does make them the play. 

As much as we’d like to back Ecuador at the odds, the Ecuadorians head into this off one of their worst losses in history. Venezuela is a horrendous soccer team. Somehow, the Venezuelans beat Ecuador 2-1.

There’s no way Ecuador mentally gets past that enough to challenge Colombia. The home team rolls. 

Soccer Pick: Colombia 

Peru +1 ½ (-102) vs Argentina -1 ½ (-129)

• When: Thursday, Oct. 14

Argentina has won 4-of-5 with a draw. The draw happened against Paraguay on Oct. 7. On Oct. 10, Argentina blasted Uruguay 3-0.

Peru fell to Bolivia in their last. The last time these two played, Argentina won 2-0. 

Although the odds make Peru the more profitable play on the handicap, it’s difficult seeing the Peruvians keeping this close. Argentina is playing like a World Cup favorite. They should win and cover.

Venezuela +1 ½ (-163) vs Chile -1 ½ (+122)

• When: Thursday, Oct. 14

Before upsetting Ecuador, Venezuela had lost four straight. On Thursday, the Venezuelans should play like the one that lost four straight, not the one that upset Ecuador. 

Chile finally got a victory when they beat Paraguay 2-0 in their last. The Chileans can’t mess around. If they hope to have any shot of making next year’s World Cup, they must dominate Venezuela. Chile covers the handicap.

Uruguay +1 ½ (-192) vs Brazil -1 ½ (+143)

• When: Thursday, Oct. 14

Brazil is so good they spotted Venezuela a goal in their last World Cup qualifier and still beat the Venezuelans 3-1. Don’t expect Brazil to spot Uruguay any goals.

Brazil wants to put any doubts to rest. Doing so means Brazil dominates an Uruguayan squad that fell by 3 goals to Argentina on Oct. 10. Lay the goal and a half.
