CONCACAF 2021 Gold Cup Matches to Must Bet On July 10th & July 11th

CONCACAF Gold Cup

  • When: Saturday, July 10 – Sunday, July 11

Curacao (+170) Vs El Salvador (+165)

  • When: Saturday, July 10

Earlier in 2021, Curacao looked like one of the better teams in the CONCACAF. The slight underdog in this beat Cuba 2-1 and then beat the British Virgin Islands 8-0. But in their last 3 matches, Curacao hasn’t impressed. The 0-0 draw versus Guatemala on June 8, the 1-2 loss to Panama on June 12, and the 0-0 draw with Panama on June 15 weren’t great.

El Salvador has won 5 straight, including beating Qatar 1-0 in an international friendly in their last. But although El Salvador is in better form, Panama, Curacao’s opponent in 2 of their last 3 is much better than any squad El Salvador faced in their last 5. Still, the odds don’t make Curacao an overlay. So we’ll stick with the chalk.

Soccer Pick: El Salvador

Trinidad and Tobago +2 ½ (-142) Vs Mexico -2 ½ (+107)

  • When: Saturday, July 10

How many goals will Mexico beat Trinidad and Tobago by? It’s impossible to back either squad on the moneyline. Trinidad and Tobago has no chance of beating a team that ranks ahead of Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Colombia, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Mexico, though, may only beat Trinidad and Tobago by 1 or 2 goals, which means we lose if we back the Mexicans on the handicap. Ah, but the odds on Trinidad and Tobago make them unplayable. In our favor? Mexico has beaten Panama 3-0 and Nigeria 4-0, both decent soccer teams, in their last couple of matches.

Soccer Pick: Mexico

Martinique +1 ½ (+114) Vs Canada -1 ½ (-138)

  • When: Sunday, July 11

Martinique hasn’t played soccer on the international stage since 2019. That puts them in a dire state versus Canada. But the Canadians aren’t known for fielding great soccer teams. So which way should we go in this one?

On June 15, Canada beat Haiti 3-0. The Canadians beat the Cayman Islanders 11-0 on March 29 and on June 5, Canada beat Aruba 7-0. We’re laying the 1 ½.

Soccer Pick: Canada

Haiti +1 ½ (+104) Vs USA -1 ½ (-166)

  • When: Sunday, July 11

Haiti’s minds won’t be on soccer. Not after the assassination of Haitian Prime Minister Jovenel Moise’s on Wednesday. Even if the Haitians had their minds on soccer, it would be tough for them to hang with a quality squad like the United States.

The U.S. has gone 4-1 straight up in their last 5. The lone loss happened in a friendly match versus strong European squad Switzerland.

On June 6, the United States even beat higher-ranked Mexico in the Nations League Final. The USA is gearing up as a top underdog contender at next year’s World Cup. They won’t stop winning matches and should beat Haiti by at least 2 goals.

Soccer Pick: USA
