Top Premier League Games Expert Analysis for Matchday 31

Written by on April 8, 2021

On Friday, Wolverhampton versus Fulham kicks off another great weekend of English Premier League action. Man City battles Leeds a big home favorite while Liverpool hosts Aston Villa a couple of days after dropping a UCL match to Real Madrid. No doubt the most intriguing game is Tottenham on the road versus Manchester United. Check out analysis, Premier League odds and free picks for the EPL’s top matches from Friday to Monday.

Top EPL Games to Bet On this Week (Apr. 9th – 12th)

Friday, April 9th Game

  • Wolverhampton +209 / Fulham +137

Fulham has lost 4-of-5 and 3 in a row. Their lone positive outcome in the last 5 was a victory over Liverpool. It’s difficult to believe Fulham didn’t beat Pool as much as the Reds imploded. Wolverhampton offers overlay odds here. Don’t get us wrong. They could lose. But the road team is the value play.

Soccer Free Pick: Wolverhampton

Saturday, April 10th Games

  • Leeds United +1 ½ (+102) / Manchester City -1 ½ (-106)

City used a game-ending goal to best Dortmund in the first leg of their quarter finals match against the Bundesliga squad. The Sky Blues should improve off the effort. Kevin De Bruyne won’t even have to be his usual flawless self for Man City to beat Leeds by 2 on Saturday.

Soccer Free Pick: Manchester City

  • Aston Villa +1 ½ (-166) / Liverpool -1 ½ (+125)

In the loss to Real, Liverpool looked out of sorts. Aston Villa isn’t up to Real’s standards, of course, but Pool hasn’t paid as much attention to EPL matches as they have to Champions League games. Still, the odds make Pool an overlay on the handicap.

Soccer Free Pick: Liverpool

  • Chelsea -196 / Crystal Palace +539

On April 3, Chelsea looked awful in a 5-2 loss versus West Brom. But then the Blues bounced back with a nice 2-0 win against Porto. Although Chelsea should beat Crystal Palace, they could bounce after such a sweet showing. We don’t think Crystal wins. We do believe these two could draw, though.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

Sunday, April 11th Games

  • Newcastle +231 / Burnley +123

Newcastle has 4 draws and a loss in their last 5. Burnley beat Everton on March 13, but that’s the only positive outcome in their five game form cycle. The road team can pull off the upset. If you don’t like Newcastle, consider the draw.

Soccer Free Pick: Newcastle

  • Leicester City +143 / West Ham United +179

West Ham’s form is on the improve after they beat Wolverhampton 3-2 on April 5. But Leicester should provide a bounce back performance. LC lost their last to the Sky Blues. West Ham is a reprieve after facing KDB and his mates.

Soccer Free Pick: Leicester City

  • Manchester United +134 / Tottenham +183

This match is interesting because in the last head-to-head, the Hotspur dominated Man United 6-1 but heading into Sunday’s match, United is in much better form. Tottenham drew against Newcastle in their last. They get Manchester on their home turf, though. Give the Hotspur a shot.

Soccer Free Pick: Tottenham

  • Arsenal -178 / Sheffield +472

Arsenal has lost 2-of-3. But Sheffield has lost 4 in a row. The Gunners should have no trouble dominating Sheffield. If the handicap changes from Arsenal -1/2 to Gunners -1 ½, back Arsenal on the handicap.

Soccer Free Pick: Arsenal

Monday, April 12th Games

  • Southampton +118 / West Bromwich +233

West Brom looked great in the 5-2 win versus Chelsea but they could be in some trouble in this. Before the surprising victory over the Blues, West Brom had dropped games to Crystal Palace and Everton and had drawn with Newcastle. On Monday, Southampton can add to their 2 game winning streak.

Soccer Free Pick: Southampton

  • Everton +199 / Brighton & Hove +129

On Oct. 3, Everton beat Brighton 4-2. But the road squad in this is in awful form. The best Everton has done in their last 4 is a draw versus Crystal Palace on April 5. B&H gets the call.

Soccer Free Pick: Brighton & Hove
