Top Serie A Games to Watch this Weekend (From Apr. 3rd)

Saturday, April 3rd Games

  • Sampdoria +445 / AC Milan -178

Both teams won their last match. AC is getting the benefit of the doubt because they’re at home. They probably should since they beat Fiorentina 3-2 on March 21 and have won the last couple of head-to-head matches. But AC Milan struggled against Napoli on March 14. Sampdoria’s worth a look at the odds.

Soccer Free Pick: Sampdoria

  • Fiorentina +140 / Genoa +215

Neither team is in great form. Fiorentina, the road squad is the chalk even though these two have drawn in the last couple of head-to-head matches. Go with Fiorentina only if you have a strong opinion. If you don’t, consider backing the home team or the draw.

Soccer Free Pick: Genoa or Draw

  • Udinese +1 ½ (-163) / Atalanta -1 ½ (+123)

Atalanta should have a difficult time beating Udinese by more than a goal. Last June, the home squad bested Udinese 3-2. This past January, these two drew 1-1. Laying -163 is asking too much, though. Atalanta has beaten their last three Serie A opponents by at least 2 goals. The home squad is the play.

Soccer Free Pick: Atalanta

  • Hellas Verona +172 / Cagliari +154

Cagliari has drawn twice and won once in their last three. Hellas Verona is on a three match losing streak. Neither team appears ready to grab the victory in this. It’s too difficult to decide on the winner. The draw attracts.

Soccer Free Pick: Draw

  • As Roma -102 / Sassuolo +225

The odds on the home team, Sassuolo, make them an overlay. As Roma should beat Sassuolo but Roma doesn’t show good enough form to warrant a bet in this. The favored road team has lost their last two Serie A matches. One of the losses was against nineteenth place Parma.

Soccer Free Pick: Sassuolo

  • Crotone +1 ½ (+118) / Napoli -1 ½ (-158)

On Saturday, Napoli takes on last place Crotone, which is one of the reasons we must lay -158 for the right to give up 1 ½ goals. Is Crotone this bad? They are. Napoli beat them 4-0 in the last head-to-head.

Soccer Free Pick: Napoli

  • Spezia +1 ½ (-138) / Lazio -1 ½ (+104)

Lazio has won their last couple of Serie A matches. But Lazio beat Spezia by only a goal in the last head-to-head. Still, Spezia could bounce because they beat Cagliari 2-1 in their last Serie A game. We’ll lay it.

Soccer Free Pick: Lazio

  • Parma +164 / Benevento +158

Neither squad is in overall excellent form. Benevento beat Juventus 1-0 on March 21, though. Also, Benevento takes on Parma on their pitch.

Soccer Free Pick: Benevento

  • Juventus -1 ½ (+124) / Torino +1 ½ (-166)

Juventus almost never loses two in a row. The real question in this match? Will Juvey beat Torino by more than a goal? Ronaldo’s squad beat Torino by a goal in the last head-to-head. In the head-to-head before, though, last July, Juvy dominated 4-1. Laying the goal on the road team at +124 looks like the best option.

Soccer Free Pick: Juventus

  • Inter Milano -1 ½ (+110) / Bologna +1 ½ (-144)

Inter is on fire. They’ve won their last five Serie A matches. On Dec. 5, Milano beat Bologna 3-1. Because they’re the home squad, Bologna offers worse odds than they should getting 1 ½. Inter can beat their rivals by two.

Soccer Free Pick: Inter Milano
