Top Women’s UCL Games to Watch and Bet On Matchday 3

Chelsea vs Servette

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 9

Servette has lost 4 straight. All losses were Champions League matches. Some of the losses were downright pathetic, like 5-2 against Atletico.

Chelsea, like on the men’s side, is one of the top teams in the Women’s English Premier League. The Blues have won 4-of-5 with a draw. Chelsea has no business not winning this by multiple goals.

Soccer Pick: Chelsea

Vfl Wolfsburg vs Juventus

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 9

The Juventus women’s squad is struggling. Juvy has won 1-of-5. The lone victory happened against Servette. The Serie A team appears destined for a loss.

Ah, but Wolfsburg hasn’t played much better. The Bundesliga squad has just 2wins in their last 5. The wins were against Servette and LSK Kvinner. But although both teams are struggling, the road team, Wolfsburg, has the better chance.

Vfl drew with Chelsea two back while Juvy lost straight up to the Blues. Give the road team a chance.

Soccer Pick: Vfl Wolfsburg

Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 9

Paris Saint-Germain has won 3, lost once, and drawn once in their last 5. Real Madrid has played just a couple of matches. Both were victories.

This should be one of the tightest soccer matches of the week. Paris has the experience, but Real has some big time talent. 22-year-old Caroline Moller has scored 3 goals in 2 matches.

Wait for odds. Then, choose based on the odds. We like how Moller is dominating. So we’ll side with the talented striker and the road squad. But if you’re leaning towards the home team, wait for odds because neither should be much more of a favorite than the other.

Soccer Pick: Real Madrid

TSG Hoffenheim vs Barcelona

  • When: Wednesday, Nov. 10

Barcelona has 4 wins and a loss in their last 5. The loss happened way back on August 18 at the Women’s International Cup. Since then, Barca has rolled, winning 3 straight over Houston Dash, Arsenal, and HB Koge.

TSG Hoffenheim beat Koge 5-0 on Oct. 5. Hoffenheim dropped their last match on Oct. 13, 0-4 to Arsenal. Barcelona should roll to a handicap cover victory.

Soccer Pick: Barcelona

Arsenal vs HB Koge

  • When: Wednesday, Nov. 10

In a couple of Women’s Champions League matches, HB Koge has lost twice and been outscored a combined 7-0. The first loss was 0-5 to Hoffenheim.

Then in their second match, Barcelona blasted Koge 2-0. Arsenal is the top team in the Women’s English Premier League. Since an 0-4 loss to Barcelona on Oct. 5, the Women Gunners have rolled, winning 4 straight and outscoring their opponents a combined 14-0. Arsenal takes this no problem.

Soccer Pick: Arsenal

Bayern Munich vs Lyon

  • When: Wednesday, Nov. 10

Both teams have won 3-of-5. Lyon has a slight edge because this happens on their pitch. But the Lyon’s women’s squad may not be any better than Bayern Munich’s women’s team.

So the real key is to assess the odds. If you believe Lyon is an underlay, back Bayern. If you don’t, go with the home team. Home pitch advantage should mean something in this game. We don’t think Lyon goes off an underlay. So we’ll back the Women’s Ligue 1 team.

Soccer Pick: Lyon
