WNBA Odds, Betting Predictions, Analysis and Picks for Week 10

We have reached the midway point of the WNBA season, which is why we are looking at a very light schedule this week.

We only have 3 days of action to wager on ahead of the matchup between the WNBA All-Stars and Team USA this coming weekend.

My Analysis

That game actually has a little more meaning than usual, as it will serve as a very good warm-up game for the US ahead of the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.

For those who will be on the WNBA squad for the exhibition game, most notably Caitlin Clark, it will be an opportunity to make a point after being snubbed by the Olympic team.

That is a conversation for another day, though, so let’s instead focus on the games that we like ahead of the break.

Connecticut Sun at New York Liberty

Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 7:00 PM, PRIME VIDEO | One thing we know for sure is that the New York Liberty will head into the break as the #1 team in the WNBA. What we don’t know just yet is the size of their lead.

Heading into this week, the Liberty is a game and a half up on the Sun, who will be looking to cut into that lead in what is an absolutely massive game.

The Liberty have won both previous meetings against the Sun this season, with both of those games coming on the road.

The Sun are 8-2 on the road this season, so I would not totally count them out of this one.

Some will welcome the break, while others will be unhappy that it might break up a hot run of form.

The latter may well be the case for the Las Vegas Aces, who have won 4 in a row and 9 of their last 10 overall, a run that has them sitting in 3rd.

The Sky are probably in the other camp, as they have lost their last 2 and are barely clinging to the final playoff spot.

This is going to be another tough one for Chicago.

Atlanta Dream at Minnesota Lynx

Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 1:00 PM | The Atlanta Dream are almost certainly a team that will be welcoming the break, as it may give them some time to regroup after a disastrous run of form.

The Dream have lost 7 in a row and have picked up just 1 win in their last 10 games, a run that has dropped them below the playoff line.

A road trip to Minnesota is not what they would have wanted to close out the first half, but they might be getting the Lynx at the right time given that they have lost each of their last 2 games.

Indiana Fever at Dallas Wings

Indiana have a very good chance of extending that run against the Dallas Wings team that is currently sitting dead last in the WNBA.

They have lost 3 in a row heading into this week.
