There are 16 races in the current Formula E season, the longest season yet for the all-electric version of Formula 1. The season got off to a fantastic start with a pair of races in Diriyah, but this weekend, the drivers head to Mexico for the next race on the schedule. It is, of course, much to early to start talking about championship races and the like, but we do have a few drivers out to a quick start. Whether that carries over into the Mexican E-Prix remains to be seen, but it does give us an idea of who some of the favorites might be this weekend. Formula E Betting Analysis for the 2022 Mexico City E-Prix

Edoardo Mortara

It was a disappointing end to the season for Mortara last year, as he came up a little short and ended up finishing 2^nd overall. Being unable to finish in the final race of the season in Berlin had to be a little upsetting, but he appears to have shaken that off quite nicely. He opened the season with a 6^th place finish in Diriyah, but then delivered the goods in Race 2, taking the win in that one. Overall, he picked up an impressive 33 points from those 2 races, already one-third of his point total from last season. He has never won in Mexico, but he has been on the podium once in that race.

Nyck de Vries

In his first season in Formula E, de Vries finished a fairly respectable 11^th overall. That made his move to World Champion last season seem all the more impressive, as he was not considered to be among the favorites at the start of the season. He only managed 2 wins on his way to the title, which tells you just how competitive this sport is. Since Mexico was not on the schedule last season, we need to go back a couple of years to find the lone run de Vries had there. He failed to finish that one, but he has come a long way since, so has to be considered among the favorites this weekend.

Stoffel Vandoorne

Vandoorne has been all over the place in his first 3 seasons in Formula E, with his best showing coming a couple of seasons ago when he finished 2^nd overall. He must have been seen as a potential favorite heading into last season, but he will have been disappointed to finish 9^th overall. He is off to a better start this time around. Finishing 2^nd in the opening race of the season before taking 7^th in race 2. He has not had a ton of joy in Mexico, but that strong start makes him a threat.

Jake Dennis

You have to say that Dennis made a bit of a splash in his first season in FE last year, finishing 3^rd overall. It looks as though he might be ready to challenge again after landing in the top 5 in both races in Diriyah. It’s tough to say what he might do this weekend given that he has never raced in Mexico, but given his strong start, he might well be worth a look.
