NCAA Football National Championship Betting Prediction Why Bet On Georgia

NCAA Football National Championship Betting Prediction: Why Bet On Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs came into this season as the defending national champions. They were the second-ranked team in the country heading into the 2022 season. Sitting behind Alabama, many figured that the Tide and the Dawgs would meet up in the SEC Championship game for the right to get into the College Football Playoffs. Alabama didn’t make it, and Georgia ran the table, heading into the title game with a 14-0 record.

Now the Bulldogs are looking for their second-straight title, and only the TCU Horned Frogs are in their way of repeating. We will now take a look at the Georgia Bulldogs, and then we’ll give you some reasons why you should place a wager on their NCAA Football National Championship Odds.

Why Should I Bet On Georgia to Win the National Championship?

Offense

This unit was the weakness of last year’s squad. However, things have changed, and the offense has been the better of the two units this season. Stetson Bennett has had an exceptional season. Bennett has thrown for over 3,800 yards, with 23 touchdown passes and just seven interceptions.

The Bulldogs are averaging under 500 yards of offense per game while scoring under 40 points per contest. They have a very balanced offense. The passing game has gone for 293 yards per game, while they have averaged just under 225 yards on the ground per game. Georgia will face a TCU defense that isn’t known as a shutdown unit.

TCU gives up an average of 475 yards per game while allowing their opponents to score an average of 26 points per game. We look for Georgia to use their plethora of running backs to attack a TCU defense that gives up an average of 152 rushing yards per game.

Defense

While Georgia’s defense was one of the most dominant defenses in history during the 21-22 season, they haven’t been as good this season. Even though the Georgia defense hasn’t been as good as last year’s squad, they have still been quite good this season. They allowed just under 15 points per game. They gave up an average of 305 yards per game. Their rushing defense has been among the nation’s best, as they only give up 80 yards per game on the ground.

The secondary has been the weak spot of the defense. They give up 224 yards per game on average. However, in their last two games against LSU and Ohio State, the secondary has given up a combined 850 yards through the air. They’ll need to get this fixed if they want to slow down Max Duggan and the TCU offense.

Why Should I Bet on Georgia?

Even though the spread is rather large at 13 ½, the Georgia Bulldogs have been the nation’s most dominant team this season. Coming from the powerful SEC, Georgia arguably has the most talented team in the nation. They’ve beaten some of the best teams in the nation, won the SEC, and then beat Ohio State

Georgia is 15-7 against the spread the last 22 times they’ve played at a neutral site. With all of their talent and offensive prowess, the Bulldogs can beat TCU by 20. TCU has not seen a defense as strong as Georgia’s this season.
