NCAAF 2020 Season Week 15 O/U Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on December 10, 2020

There are a lot of stories in college football heading into Week 15, but some are certainly bigger than others. There are several teams who are in the hunt for a playoff spot who have had their weekend games postponed, all of which will have an impact on the playoff committee. The biggest issue, though, is the postponement of the game between Michigan and Ohio State, as that means that the Buckeyes will not have met the requirement for the minimum number of games played to appear in the Conference Championship Game. Does that also mean that they should not be a part of the playoffs? That will all work itself out in the next couple of weeks. For now, let’s focus on our O/U picks for Week 15 so you can make your bets against their NCAAF odds.

O/U Picks for Week 15 | 2020 College Football Betting

Georgia Bulldogs at Missouri Tigers (OVER 54)

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the teams that have been negatively impacted by COVID despite not have any issues within their program this season. The next two weeks will see them play against teams who were forced to cancel the originally scheduled games, starting with a trip to Missouri to face the Tigers this weekend. The Georgia offense is finally ticking with JT Daniels under center and they have now gone OVER the point total in 5 of their last 6 games. The Tigers have been trending towards the under of late, but they are going to need to open things up this weekend if they hope to compete with the Dawgs. It will likely be close, but I think this one creeps OVER the point total.

Navy Midshipmen Vs Army Golden Knights (UNDER 37 ½)

Both of these teams employ the same style of offense, running a triple option, which means that the ball does not go through the air that often. It stands to reason that the score tends to stay on the lower end of the scale when you have a pair of teams committed to running the football on almost every single down. That said, Navy has seen the over hit in 5 of their last 6 games, while Army has seen the over hit in 4 of their last 6. While those are certainly convincing trends, you need to look at what has gone down in recent head-to-head meetings between these two teams. It has been the UNDER that has hit in each of their last 14 meetings.

Tennessee Volunteers at Vanderbilt Commodores (UNDER 50)

The 0-8 Vanderbilt Commodores made the headlines a couple of weeks ago when they suited up female kicker Sarah Fuller and had her kick. It was an SEC first, and while it was a fantastic story, the Commodores were in that position because they had trouble suiting up enough players to play the game. That same issue forced the postponement of their game versus Georgia last weekend. They are ready to go in Week 15, but are they going to be able to offer up any type of offensive threat versus the Tennessee Volunteers? This is a team that has failed to cross the 20-point mark in each of their last 5 games. Tennessee are not going to need to score a lot to win, so I think this one stays UNDER.
