No doubt that during this year’s World Cup, the best plays take place during the group stage. Check out eight World Cup group stage games that should be on your FIFA World Cup Betting radar.

Eight World Cup Group Stage Games You Can’t Miss Betting On

2022 Qatar World Cup

  • When: Nov. 20 – Dec. 18

Group A: Senegal vs Netherlands

  • When: Monday, Nov. 21 at 5:00 am ET
  • TV/Streaming: FOX

The Netherlands tore it up in their last Nations League matches. Not only that, but many soccer handicappers believe this the year the Dutch, who have been close in many World Cups, closes the deal and becomes the ninth nation to win a WC title.

Senegal dominated AFC World Cup qualifying. One of the top five players in the world, Sadio Mane, throws down for the Senegalese.

Who wins this massive match? Senegal will push the Netherlands for sure but at the end, the Dutch prevail.

Senegal vs Netherlands Pick: Netherlands

Group B: England vs United States

  • When: Friday, Nov. 25 at 2:00 pm ET
  • TV/Streaming: FOX

On paper, England dusts the Americans. But before dumping on Harry Kane and the English, it’s important to note, that England has become chilly to win the World Cup.

Argentina has leapfrogged England and is now third choice after Brazil and France to take the title. Even England’s fans are worried the team doesn’t have a distributor. However, England’s lack of a passing midfielder won’t hurt them in this.

The U.S. is a solid club. The American’s don’t play as well together as the English, yes, even if England lacks that midfield set up player.

England vs United States Pick: England

Group D: France vs Denmark

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11:00 am ET
  • TV/Streaming: FS1

Like always, France is loaded. Karim Benzema, Kilian Mbappe, etc. all. But although France is the better overall team and boasts star players, Denmark is the team to watch in Group D.

Christian Eriksen, one of the best midfielders in the Premier, steps onto the pitch for Denmark. Eriksen leads a veteran group that has enough talent to force a draw in this key match against France.

France vs Denmark Pick: Denmark

Group C: Argentina vs Mexico

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2:00 pm ET
  • TV/Streaming: FS1

Argentina should have no trouble versus a Poland side that isn’t nearly as formidable this WC cycle as they were in 2018. So if the Albiceleste struggles during group play it will be versus a Mexico team that’s flying under the radar.

Mexico has some talent. El Tri’s talent isn’t on Argentina’s level. Still, if you see decent handicap odds, jump on Mexico because Argentina shouldn’t win by more than a goal.

Argentina vs Mexico Pick: Argentina

Group E: Spain vs Germany

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 27 at 2:00 pm ET
  • TV/Streaming: FS1

Germany opened a +1400 favorite. Heading into the first week of November, the Germans are a +1000 choice to win the World Cup. Spain offers lower odds, which means they will likely step onto the pitch the chalk in this.

The key for the Spanish is how quickly their young talent gels. If it doesn’t gel fast enough, Germany wins. So will El Rojo get it together before this Nov. 27 match? They will but it won’t be enough to get past the Germans.

Spain vs Germany Pick: Germany

Group G: Brazil vs Switzerland

  • When: Monday, Nov. 28 at 11:00 am ET
  • TV/Streaming: FOX

No team in Group G will challenge Brazil. However, by the time Neymar and his mates play this match, Brazil should have a big lead in the group.

Brazil could coast in this match. Coasting won’t cost Brazil anything. It should help Switzerland grab a Round of 16 spot.

Brazil vs Switzerland Pick: Draw

Group H: Portugal vs Uruguay

  • When: Monday, Nov. 28 at 2:00 pm ET
  • TV/Streaming: FOX

This massive Group H match is for the group’s top spot. Portugal is one of the +1200 second tier choices to win the World Cup. Uruguay is a World Cup sleeper.

Unlike Portugal, Uruguay has won a couple of World Cups. Also, the Uruguayans should have no trouble dealing with the Qatar heat. The likely dog, that’s Uruguay, gets the nod.

Portugal vs Uruguay Pick: Uruguay

Group F: Croatia vs Belgium

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10:00 am ET
  • TV/Streaming: FOX

Both Croatia and Belgium should make it to the knockout stage but there’s no guarantee. Since there’s no guarantee, this could be a massively important match.

Croatia doesn’t look as strong as they did in 2018 when finishing second to France. Belgium’s window may have closed. The team that loses this could end up out of the tournament. Belgium should win, but this happens later on in during the group stage when the long in the tooth Belgians could be too tired to compete. Croatia is the play.

Croatia vs Belgium Pick: Croatia
