This coming Saturday, June 9, will see the final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown run, with 9 horses expected to be in the field. The 150th Belmont Stakes could prove to be a special one, as we may well see only the 13th winner of the Triple Crown, as 2018 Belmont Stakes Odds favorite Justify looks to earn one of the toughest titles in sports. History is not on his side, though, as the Belmont Stakes has proven to be a killer for many favorites, especially those going after the Triple Crown.The reason it’s so tough to win is that the three races come relatively close together and because the final race is a grueling mile and a half slog that is tough for any horse to handle.
