Connections for just five runner have committed to the Grade 1 Just A Game. But although the field could be short, the race should be competitive.

In Italian, Chad Brown’s front running five-year-old mare, will go off the favorite. Wakanaka, trained by Bill Mott, Chad’s B runner, Speak of the Devil, Spendarella from the Graham Motion barn, and Bill Walsh trained New Year’s Eve all have a shot.

Brown plans on saddling four in the New York. No doubt, one of Chad’s horses, Shantisara, Marketsegmentation, Virginia Joy, or McKulick will go off the chalk.

Bill Mott charge War Like Goddess could challenge a Brown runner for favoritism. Charles Appleby plans on running With the Moonlight, another contender.

Chad Brown plans on running three: Randomized, Occult, and Accede. Of the three, Randomized could be the one horseplayers prefer.

Other runners expected to break from the gate include Dorth Vader, Pretty Mischievous, and Laurel Park invader and Brittany Russell trained Goodgirl Badhabits.
