162 Games | 30 Teams
New York Yankees +165
New York added Juan Soto to the offense and Marcus Stroman to the pitching staff. Gerrit Cole still leads the staff, and will be called upon to be the ace. Behind him, there are some question marks. Offensively, this is going to be a really talented team. The progression of Anthony Volpe, along with how well Alex Verdugo can hit in the Yankees lineup is going to be the biggest question. The Yankees barely went over .500 a season ago, and finished fourth in the divisional race. It may be a bit of a stretch for them to be favorites in 2024, but the odds show they are. The Orioles, Blue Jays, Rays and Red Sox all seem to have improved teams from a season ago. New York is +165 to win the American League East.

Minnesota Twins -115
The lineup has some guys that have not quite hit their stride yet in Major League Baseball. The lineup also has some guys that are poised for monster seasons. Carlos Correa is a been there and done that type shortstop in the middle of the order. Royce Lewis came up to the big leagues with a bang and showed a ton of pop. The bottom of the order with guys like Matt Wallner and Ryan Jeffers will be a factor here. The pitching should be good again with Pablo Lopez and Joe Ryan leading the front end. Minnesota is the favorite in a bad division. This is likely the worst division in baseball. Minnesota is a big favorite, as they are the biggest divisional favorite in the American League; at -115.

Houston Astros +100
Season after season, this is a team that is up at the top of the standings. Houston, in a division with the defending champion Texas Rangers, and also a very good Seattle team, is listed at even money to win the division. Houston will see Altuve, Alvarez, Bregman, Tucker and Abreu at the start of that lineup. There are not many teams that will show a better front five in their lineup. The rotation still has some question marks, such as how good Framber Valdez and Cristian Javier actually are. If they are good, and dominant on the front end of the rotation, this team will once again be scary good. They will be challenged, but this is a team that continues to shine bright under the lights.

Atlanta Braves -240
Ronald Acuna Jr. was the Most Valuable Player a season ago. His season was absolutely legendary. This is going to be the same lineup that produced one of the best seasons in Major League Baseball history. Austin Riley and Matt Olson mashed, and when you got Michael Harris batting at the bottom of the order, you know you are in good hands. The rotation will once again see Max Fried and Spencer Strider at the front. Atlanta added an interesting rotation piece in lefthander Chris Sale. The sky’s the limit for the Atlanta Braves, and that is the reason they come in as the second biggest divisional favorite in all of baseball. The Braves are -240 to win the National League East.

St. Louis Cardinals +185
Likely the biggest disappointment in all of Major League Baseball a season ago. St. Louis should not have finished last in a poor division. The Cardinals still have the same pieces on the offensive side. They are looking for big bounce back seasons from both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado. Put those two together with the talent of Jordan Walker and Masyn Winn, and you would think this team should be able to contend. The Cardinals rotation is much different, with the additions of Sonny Gray, Kyle Gibson and Lance Lynn. They will team with Miles Mikolas and Steven Matz to lead the way. The Cardinals have a tough schedule out of the gate, and all eyes are on Marmol, as he is one of the early favorites to be the first manager fired in 2024.

Los Angeles Dodgers -450
As if this team needed to get any better. Dave Roberts and the Dodgers added Shohei Ohtani to the mix. Ohtani will likely bat in the middle of Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Good luck to opposing pitchers with those three. The Dodgers will rely on veterans Will Smith, Max Muncy and Jason Heyward, but have young guys ready to take over if needed. In the rotation, Clayton Kershaw is going to start the season injured, as will Walker Buehler. They added Yoshinobu Yamamoto to the rotation, along with Tyler Glasnow. When the season begins, those two are going to be 1 and 2. Bobby Miller and James Paxton should be next for Los Angeles. The Dodgers are the biggest divisional favorites in Major League Baseball. Los Angeles is listed at -450.
