Charlotte at Portland

Charlotte (16-17) has alternated wins and losses over its last eight games but hits the new week coming off a thrilling 127-126 road win over Sacramento on Sunday night. The Hornets are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Portland (18-14) is in sixth place in the Western Conference, but has lost four straight coming into the new week including a humbling 103-92 road loss against the Lakers on Friday. The Hornets are 22-10-2 ATS in their last 34 games as an underdog, but Portland is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games following an ATS loss and 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games overall.
LA Clippers at Boston
- When: Tuesday, March 2 at 7:30 PM ET

Los Angeles (24-12) is in third place in the Western Conference. The Clippers have gone a modest 6-4 over their last 10 games but comes into the new week fresh off a 105-100 road loss against Milwaukee on Sunday night. Boston (17-17) is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings but has won two straight, including a thrilling 111-110 home win over Washington on Sunday night. LA ranks sixth in scoring (114.9 ppg) and fifth in points allowed (109.0 ppg). Boston is ranked an uninspiring 21st in scoring (110.9 ppg), but an encouraging seventh in points allowed (110.4 ppg). The Celtics have won two straight against the Clippers while going 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings.
Phoenix at LA Lakers
- When: Tuesday, March 2 at 10:00 PM ET
- TV: TNT
Phoenix (22-11) is in fourth place out west and enters the new week having won two straight and eight of its last 10 games overall. The Suns spanked overmatched Minnesota 118-99 on Sunday night. Phoenix ranks a modest 13th in scoring (113.4 ppg), but a stellar fourth in points allowed (107.5 ppg).
The Lakers (24-11) are in second place in the Western Conference and hits the new week having won two straight including an emphatic 117-91 smackdown of Golden State on Sunday. Los Angeles ranks 19th in scoring (111.3 ppg) but a tremendous second in points allowed (105.6 pg). LA has won three straight in this rivalry including a 125-100 home win on Feb. 10. These rivals have split the last four meetings evenly against the spread.
Brooklyn at Houston
- When: Wednesday, March 3 at 7:30 PM ET
- TV: ESPN
Brooklyn (22-12) is in second place in the Eastern Conference standings, but comes into the new week fresh off a humbling 115-98 loss against Dallas on Saturday that snapped an eight-game winning streak. Houston (11-21) is in 14th place in the 15-team Western Conference and heads into the new week having lost a whopping 10 straight games. Brooklyn ranks first in scoring (120.7 ppg), first in field goal shooting percentage (49.9%) and second in three-point shooting percentage (40.4%). Houston averages 107.9 points per game (24th), but allows 112.6 points per contest defensively (18th). This mid-week matchup should have some drama with James Harden returning the same city he just spurned.
Miami at New Orleans
- When: Thursday, March 4 at 8:30 PM ET

As noted earlier, New Orleans (14-19) has dropped two straight and seven of 10 including a narrow 117-114 road loss against San Antonio on Saturday. The Pelicans average a healthy 115.5 points per game (5th), but allow 115.7 points per game defensively (26th). Miami (17-17) is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings and comes into the new week riding a six-game winning streak that includes a 109-99 home win over Atlanta on Sunday night. The Heat are averaging 107.7 points per game (25th) but limit the opposition to 109.3 points per contest defensively (6th). Miami has won four of the last five against New Orleans while going 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
