With less than 15 regular season games to go, every game is crucial. Teams are fighting for their playoff spots, and possibly even their playoff lives. In looking at Friday night’s slate of games, we’ve found a couple that have caught our betting eye.

We’ll give you a brief preview of each game, and then we’ll give you our best NBA betting advice on each one.

Don’t look now, but here come the Los Angeles Lakers. After the trade deadline, the Lakers have looked like a rejuvenated team. They did make some subtle changes at the deadline, but they didn’t acquire a superstar.

Having DeAngelo Russell back in the fold has been a help. The Lakers resurgence could also be due to the fact that another Russell is no longer part of the team. The health of Anthony Davis has also been a key to the Lakers playing well.

Davis has been relatively healthy over the past few weeks, and when he is on the floor, he is one of the top players in the league. Keep in mind, the Lakers are doing this without LeBron James, as the future hall of famer has been injured and not in the lineup.

The Lakers have won seven of their last 10, and are making a run up the Western Conference standings. They’re currently in ninth place in the West, and they’re looking to continue their movement up the standings.

Toronto comes into town in a playoff battle of their own. The Raptors are also in ninth place and they want to avoid some of the play-in scenarios that come with a low seed in the playoffs. The Raptors were rumored to make some big moves at the trade deadline, but they were relatively quiet.

We figure that the Lakers will be favored in this one. They’ve been playing well, while the Raptors have lost two straight. As long as the spread isn’t too large, we would go with Los Angeles.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Philadelphia 76ers

The Portland Trail are fighting for their playoff lives. Right now, they’re sitting in the 12th and final playoff spot. However, they’re tied with the Utah Jazz, and if you finish in 13th, you don’t make the postseason.

The Philadelphia 76ers are also fighting for a playoff spot, but theirs is a little better than Portland’s. The Sixers are just four games out of the top spot in the East, and just two games out of the second spot in the Eastern Conference.

We can’t wait to see the superstars show out in this one. We expect to see Damian Lillard, along with Joel Embiid, and, hopefully, James Harden. Harden sat out a game earlier this week, but it sounds as though he’ll suit up for the Friday night matchup.

The Sixers should be a healthy favorite in this one. As long as the spread isn’t too large, we’d take them. We also expect to see a lot of points being scored, as this could turn into a shootout. Monitor the point total closely
