Houston Texans (0-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

Expert  Analysis

The Texans and Bengals both got smacked around in their openers with Houston falling to Jacksonville 29-7 in a stunner and Cincinnati getting shutout by Baltimore 20-0. This one is a tough call, but I’m going t urge you to back the Bengals just because they’re playing at home and Andy Dalton can’t play any worse than he did in tossing four picks in Week 1.

Cleveland Browns (0-1) at Baltimore Ravens (1-0)

Expert  Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens have a solid defense and they’re playing at home, but I’m really liking what I’m seeing out of the Cleveland Browns and rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer which is why I’m backing the Browns to cover the spread while pushing Baltimore for the outright win.

Buffalo Bills at Carolina Panthers

Expert  Analysis

The Bills beat the lowly Jets 21-12 and Carolina handed rebuilding San Francisco an emphatic 23-3 loss. With Carolina playing at home, the Panthers are the easy pick to win outright, but I’m going to urge you to back the Bills to cover the spread in a matchup that looks like a classic field goal matchup to me.

Arizona Cardinals (0-1) at Indianapolis Colts (0-1)

Expert  Analysis

The Cardinals may have lost their opener against Detroit 35-23 but they’re the easy pick to get past an Indianapolis team that got routed by the Rams and will start recently acquired Jacoby Brissett in Week 2 after Scott Tolzien flamed out in fantastic fashion in Indy’s opener.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars

Expert  Analysis

Prior to Week 1, I would have picked Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans to get the road win, but not now after seeing the Jacksonville Jaguars blitz Houston in their 290-7 Week 1 stunner. The Jags hold down the fort at home people!

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)

Expert  Analysis

I kept saying the Kansas City Chiefs were the pick against New England in Week 1 and now I’m here to say that Alex Smith and company are the pick again in Week 2 as their fine defense limits Carson Wentz and Philly’s improved offense, although it’s going to be a bit tougher without Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry.

New England Patriots (0-1) at New Orleans Saints (0-0)

Expert  Analysis

New Orleans hasn’t played their Week 1 Monday night matchup at the time of this writing, but I’m going to say that Drew Brees and the Saints pull off the huge upset at home by simply outscoring Tom Brady and the Pats in a shootout.

Minnesota Vikings (0-0) at Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)

The Vikings hasn’t played their Week 1 Monday night matchup, but I just don’t see Sam Bradford and the Vikings putting enough points on the board to beat Ben Roethlisberger and company in Pittsburgh.

Chicago Bears (0-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-0)

Expert  Analysis

The Bears put up a valiant effort in their Week 1 home loss to Atlanta while Tampa Bay’s game against Miami was canceled due to Hurricane Irma. However, it Chicago can cover the spread as identical 6.5-point underdogs against Matt Ryan and the Falcons, they should be able to do the same against Jameis Winston and Tampa Bay.

Miami Dolphins (0-0) at L.A. Chargers (0-0)

Miami’s Week 1 matchup against Tampa Bay was canceled and the Chargers haven’t played their Week 1 matchup at the time of this writing. Still, there’s no way I’m taking Jay Cutler to out-duel Philip Rivers. Back the Bolts to get it done at home people!

The Cowboys man-handled the Giants in their opener while Denver has yet to play its Monday night opener. Still, I’m going with the Broncos and their elite defense to hold it down at home in Week 1 against the Cowboys.

Expert  Analysis

While both of these NFC West rivals lost their respective Week 1 openers, the Seattle Seahawks are light years ahead of the San Francisco 49ers and should have this game well in hand by the time halftime rolls around.

Expert  Analysis

While Matt Ryan and the Falcons got past Chicago in their opener, they didn’t look very good in doing so while Green Bay looked really solid in shutting down Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. I’m feeling an outright road upset in this one!

Expert  Analysis

Matthew Stafford and the Lions looked really good in their Week 1 spanking of Arizona while the Giants got man-handled and still clearly have no rushing attack whatsoever. I’m thinking the Lions are good for the road upset simply because all they have to do is play pass defense against the G-Men.
