NFL 2021 Regular Season: Baltimore Ravens at Denver Betting Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens (2-1) will head to Denver to take on the Broncos (3-0) in an exciting week 4 matchup of the top teams in the AFC.

Through the first three weeks, the Ravens have played close, thrilling games and hope to squeak a win out against one of the top defenses in the NFL. The Broncos will look to get their fourth straight win and start 4-0 for the first time since 2016.

You can grab the Baltimore Ravens on MyBookie as the slight -1 road favorite, or the over/under total, which is set at 45 points.  With that being said, let’s take a look at both teams and how they arrive to this match so you can bet against their NFL odds.

NFL Betting Preview for Ravens vs Broncos

Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview: Raven’s Heating Up

In week three, the Ravens won in a dramatic fashion against the Detroit Lions when Justin Tucker drilled an NFL record 66-yard field goal to defeat the Lions 19-17 on the road.

Lamar Jackon is heating up, and the dual-threat quarterback is leading the NFL in yards per completion and yards per carrying, the first player in league history to lead the league in both categories in a single season.

The Baltimore offense is somehow leading the league in rushing even with their two main backs out for the year. The Ravens have stuck to the game plan and run the ball consistently, averaging a league-best 185.3 yards per game. Lamar Jackson leads the team with 253 passing yards per game and averages 83.6 yards on the ground.

The defense looks much different this year as star corner Marcus Peters. However, they have relied on a bevy of veterans to pick up the slack. The rushing defense is still solid. The Raven are 9th in rushing yards allowing just 79 per game.

The secondary is a different story; teams have been able to move the ball through the air with ease. Baltimore is giving up a whopping 314.7 yards per game, albeit against 3 of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Denver Broncos Preview: Broncos Look for Fourth Straight Win

The Broncos are facing their first major challenge of the season when they welcome Lamar Jackson into town. The Broncos’ three wins so far have come against winless teams: the Jets, Giants, and Jaguars

The keys for this game will be to keep Lamar Jackson in the pocket and for the offense to take advantage of the opportunities the defense gives them.

It’s safe to say that the Ravens offense will be the toughest challenge Bronco defense will have to face so far. They will have their hands full with Lamar Jackson; however, Denver’s defense is one of the best in the NFL.

Von Miller has particularly been dominant this season as he has been wreaking havoc in the backfield all year, recording at least one sack (4) in each game he has played in.

Last week against the Jets, the Broncos didn’t give up a single point and put quarterback Zach Wilson on the ground five times.

Veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and the offense have done just enough to win and will need a great effort to keep pace with the Ravens scoring attack.

Bridgewater has been efficient with a 116.4 QBR and four touchdowns, and no interceptions. In fact, the former Louisville quarterback hasn’t turned the ball over once.

Additionally, the Broncos use a two-headed monster at running back with Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams combining for the 7th best rushing attack in the league, averaging 127.3 yards per game.

Ravens vs. Broncos Prediction

The Ravens have won two games in a row and are starting to come together as a team. However, Baltimore is playing consecutive road games and barely beat out a winless Lion team on the road. It is hard to compete in Denver with the combination of the altitude and the crowd.

Additionally, I think the Broncos are a better team than what people are giving them credit for.

They have one of the elite NFL defenses and are fundamentally sound offensive. For that reason, I believe they’ll win their fourth straight game.

MyBookie Prediction: Broncos +1
