NFL Super Bowl 57 Updated MVP Top Candidates

NFL Super Bowl 57 Updated MVP Top Candidates

Super Bowl weekend is here, which means that it’s time to start finalizing where you want your betting dollars to go on Sunday. Most of you probably already have some idea how you are going to play the big game in terms of the straight up and spread picks, but what about some of the props? One of the great things about the Super Bowl is that there are literally countless ways to spread out your wagers, but that also means trying to figure out how to best spend your money to optimize your chances of walking away a winner on Sunday night. One wager that seems difficult, but which can actually be narrowed down quite a bit, is the Super Bowl MVP. It is generally always an offensive player that wins it, and very commonly the winning QB. Let’s take a look at the current MVP odds, after which I will make my prediction.

Updated Top Candidates For Super Bowl MVP And Their Odds

Patrick Mahomes (+117)

Given what Mahomes has done in his time with the Kansas City Chiefs, it is no surprise to see him in as the favorite to win the MVP. He has been here before and will not feel the pressure in the same way as other players do. The knock against Mahomes on Sunday is that he may still be dealing with an ankle injury, plus he may be missing some key pieces on the offense. That said, if the Chiefs win under these circumstances, Mahomes could be a shoo-in.

Jalen Hurts (+121)

It still seems strange to believe that Hurts started the season with a lot of fans still unsure whether he was the answer at QB or not. That discussion is now well and truly over, as it has become clear that the Eagles need Hurts under center. He missed 2 games through injury in the regular season, with Philly losing both of those outings. It stands to reason that if the Eagles come away with the win, it will Likely be Hurts leading the charge.

Travis Kelce (+1250)

Okay, so if you are planning to go with Kelce to win the MVP, you are somewhat betting against history. No tight end has ever been named the MVP in the championship game, but if any player can break that streak, it would be Kelce. As mentioned earlier, there are some doubts about the health of a couple of Chiefs receivers, so it stands to reason that Mahomes is going to need to rely very heavily on Kelce. He might not be a bad bet of you fancy taking a bit of a chance.

A.J. Brown (+1600)

This is another pick that has to be considered a risk, especially since Brown’s stats in the postseason have dropped off when compared to the regular season. That said, the Eagles have been leaning on the run game in the playoffs, so if they have to open things up in the Super Bowl, Brown is going to be the #1 target.

Okay, so the time has come to make a pick. It may not be the most exciting selection, but I think it will be Mahomes who takes it. He is a game changer, and his experience in these situations makes him a worthy favorite.
