After a long, and at times, difficult NFL season, we’ve finally come to the pinnacle, we’ve made it to Super Bowl 55. While the Super Bowl is usually surrounded by glitz and glamour, this year is different due to all of the COVID-19 restrictions. Even though we won’t get all of the pomp and circumstance, Super Bowl 55 will still be full of storylines. With that in mind, let’s have a closer look at the Super Bowl odds so you can bet against them.

One thing that we can guarantee with every Super Bowl is that there will be large amounts of money wagered on the big game. This year will be no different. With numerous states now having legalized sports gambling, we could see a record amount of money wagered on Super Bowl 55.

For the first time ever, we will see a team playing in it’s home stadium in the Super Bowl, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play their home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Even though they’re at home, the Buccaneers will be the underdogs in this one, as they’re currently a 3.5 point underdog to the Kansas City Chiefs. The oddsmakers are also looking for a lot of points to be scored, as the over/under number is currently sitting at 56.5. If you want to bet on the moneyline, the underdog Bucs are a +140, while the Kansas City Chiefs are a -175 moneyline favorite.

Tom Brady will be playing in his 10th career Super Bowl, and this will be the first time that he hasn’t been to the big game without Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. It’s rare that Brady is an underdog in the Super Bowl, this will only be the second time in his career that his team won’t be favored. In Brady’s rookie season, the Patriots were 14-point underdogs to the “Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams. New England shocked the world and won that game 20-17, allowing Brady to earn the first of his six Super Bowl rings.

The over/under total is one of the highest point totals ever set for the Super Bowl. The 56.5 points total set for Super Bowl 55 comes in as the second highest total ever set for the big game. The highest point total ever set was 58 points for the 2016 version. Tom Brady was also involved in that game, as he led his New England Patriots back from a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.

In the history of the Super Bowl, the favorite has gone 36-17 straight up (there were no odds posted for Super Bowl I). Against the spread, the favorite has gone 29-20-2. When it comes to the over/under total, the over has hit 27 times, while the under has hit 26 times.

This should be an exciting game. We should see a lot of points scored, as both teams have high-powered offenses. The Tom Brady Vs Patrick Mahomes storylines will dominate the coverage. Even though the game won’t be like it has in the past, the product on the field should still be very fun to watch.
