2022 NFL Week 7

  • When: Thursday, Oct. 19 – Monday, Oct. 24

New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals -1.5 | Thursday, Oct. 19

Both these squads have decent defenses. In Arizona’s favor is the fact DeAndre Hopkins returns from a 6-game suspension.

In New Orleans favor is the fact the Saints should have no trouble pressuring Kyler Murray. The winner against the spread comes down to which team can more easily move the ball. In that sense, it’s the Saints, who line up Taysom Hill under center, in the backfield, and at tight-end.

NFL Week 7 Pick: New Orleans Saints +1.5

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans -2.5 | Sunday, Oct. 23

The Colts rallied to beat the visiting Jaguars. Indianapolis didn’t have a great performance. Things get much tougher for Indy in NFL Week 7 because they must travel to Tennessee to take on a hot Titans’ squad.

Tennessee is searching for their fourth straight. The Titans have already beaten Indianapolis, 24-17, on the road earlier in the season. There’s no reason to believe the Titans can’t secure the deal on Sunday.

NFL Week 7 Pick: Tennessee Titans -2.5

New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars -3 | Sunday, Oct. 23

The line doesn’t make much sense but before dumping on the 5-1 Giants, it’s important to note that Saquon Barkley isn’t one-hundred percent.

Not only that, but the Giants have escaped losses against Green Bay and Baltimore the last couple of weeks. Eventually, an NFL franchise’s luck runs out.

NFL Week 7 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars -3

Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals -6.5 | Sunday, Oct. 23

The line overvalues the Bengals. Atlanta has a real shot of winning the NFC South. The ATL beat San Francisco last Sunday while Cincinnati sort of got lucky against the Saints.

Each week, Atlanta’s defense and offense gets better. Taking the points makes sense.

NFL Week 7 Pick: Atlanta Falcons +6.5

New York Jets at Denver Broncos -3.5 | Sunday, Oct. 23

Denver almost beats the Los Angeles Chargers and all of a sudden they’re an over 3 point favorite versus a 4-2 team?

Yes, we know we’re talking about the New York Jets. But NYJ is playing lights out on both sides of the ball and Denver still has trouble scoring points. Jets cover.

NFL Week 7 Pick: New York Jets +3.5

Kansas City Chiefs -3 at San Francisco 49ers | Sunday, Oct. 23

It’s Patrick Mahomes’ fault that the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 6. Mahomes threw a pick on the Chiefs’ final drive.

San Francisco played lousy in a loss to Atlanta. Most believe the Chiefs cover. But SF remains one of the NFC’s best and this happens at Levi’s Stadium. So the Niners should keep this to either under 3, at 3, or beat KC straight up.

NFL Week 7 Pick: San Francisco 49ers +3

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers -7 | Sunday, Oct. 23

It’s tough to have a lot of faith in either one of these teams. The Chargers had so many chances to beat the Broncos by more than 4 points this past Monday night.

The Bolts didn’t take advantage. One thing about the win over Denver, the Chargers had to work hard. So 7 points are too many to give to a solid Seahawks’ side.

NFL Week 7 Pick: Seattle Seahawks

NFL SNF Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins -7 | Sunday, Oct. 23

Tua Tagovailoa is preparing to play on Sunday night. No doubt, Tua will ensure the Fins move the ball well enough to put points up against the Steelers.

No word yet on whether Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky starts for the Steelers. No matter who gets the call, it won’t matter. The Dolphins end the losing streak with a huge win and cover.

NFL Week 7 Pick: Miami Dolphins -7

Chicago Bears at New England Patriots -7.5 | Monday, Oct. 24

The Bears are a bad football team. New England isn’t.

Third-string quarterback Billy Zappe might be New England’s next Tom Brady. In 3 games, Zappe has thrown for 596  yards, is completing 73% of his passes, and has thrown 4 touchdowns to a single interception.

Zappe should continue to play great football and New England’s defense will dominate. The Patriots cover.

NFL Week 7 Pick: New England Patriots -7.5
