Champions League History

The Champions League trophy is the only one missing from the Manchester City trophy case. Erling Haaland, who set a Premier League goals record, leads the Champions League with 12 goals on the season.

Inter Won the Derby

Inter faced a stressful semifinal as they were drawn against rivals AC Milan. The teams share San Siro, and Inter won both legs in shutout fashion to reach the final. They knocked off Portugal sides FC Porto and Benfica by a combined score of 6-3 in the first two knockout rounds.

Inter sit in fourth place in Italy’s Serie A, and they are still battling for Champions League qualification in 2023-24. They lost in the final of the Coppa Italia, and while they did take the Suppercoppa, the Champions League is their last chance for a major trophy this season.

Who Will Win?

Inter shut out AC Milan in both legs, and they allowed a goal in just one of six knockout round games so far. But City are a completely different beast and team, with Haaland as a goal machine. They are a full-on All-Star team, and it takes a perfect game to beat them,

City definitely seems to be on a mission, and it is tough to see them losing to Inter in this Champions League Final. If they beat Manchester United on June 3, they will be attempting to match United’s treble from 1999 and get European bragging rights. Anything short of an injury to key players like Haaland or Kevin de Bruyne before June 10, and City should win this title and finish off their trophy cabinet.
