Hansa gets 2 ½ goals on the handicap, but it may not be enough. In their last on Jan. 15, Hanover 96 beat Hansa Rostock 1-0. Hamburg SV dominated Hansa 3-0 on Dec. 12. Leipzig covers.

At first glance, Gladbach should have no trouble beating German 2 League team Hannover 96. But a closer look reveals the home dog has a big shot to win this.
Hannover has won 3-of-4. The lone loss was to 2021 Bundesliga squad Werder Bremen. Monchengladbach has lost 3-of-5. So even though Gladbach upset Bayern on Jan. 7, they’re a play against because the road chalk tends to play down to their opponent’s level.

SC Freiburg +207 vs TSG Hoffenheim +107
- When: Wednesday, Jan. 19
Freiburg’s form suggests they lose this match. Dortmund absolutely pummeled the road underdog 5-1 in Freiburg’s last.
Hoffenheim shows 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss. The loss, which happened in their last, a 2-1 game versus Union Berlin, could have gone either way. Give Hoffenheim the nod.
