This weekend, French Ligue 1 plays most matches on Sunday, Nov. 13. Paris Saint-Germain and AJ Auxerre kick off the action early on Sunday at 7:00 am ET. The road underdog in this shows 1 win their last 5 matches. Auxerre beat AC Ajaccio 1-0 on Oct. 30. Outside of the win against Ajaccio, Auxerre has lost twice and drawn twice in 4-of-5.

PSG has won 5 straight. Among the victories is a 7-2 win against Maccabi Haifa and a 2-1 road win versus Juventus in a couple of Champions League matches. Paris should have no trouble covering the handicap.

Neither squad is playing well enough to attract more action than the other. Brest, the home chalk, does have a win in their last 5. Troyes doesn’t.

Brest’s victory came via a 3-1 score over Clermont Foot. The win happened on Oct. 23. Since beating Clermont, Brest has lost and drawn. Troyes’ last loss was more impressive than Brest’s victory over Clermont.

Troyes fell 4-3 to Paris Saint-Germain. Scoring 3 goals versus PSG is an accomplishment. This can go either way. So grabbing the better odds on the road team makes sense.

Angers is on a 5-match losing streak. The road dog in this fell to Lens in their last. Before losing to Lens, Monaco had beaten Angers 2-0.

Lille shows 3 wins, a loss, and a draw in their last 5. The home chalk is in better form. But the last couple of head-to-head matches between these two ended in draws. Another draw is a real possibility.

In their last, Montpellier broke a 4-match losing streak, but they didn’t break the streak with a victory. Instead, the slight home chalk in this drew 1-1 with Clermont Foot. 

Stade de Reims has won 2-of-3 with a 0-0 draw versus Brest. The wins came against AJ Auxerre and Nantes. Reims can win this. Also, the odds makes the road squad more than playable.

Strasbourg +119 vs Lorient +226

• When: Sunday, Nov. 13 at 11:05 am ET

Neither squad is playing well. Both teams show 2 draws and 2 losses in their last couple of matches. 

Strasbourg, the home chalk, drew in 2 straight before a loss to AC Ajaccio in their last. Lorient is on a 2-game losing streak. The road dog lost to Nice and PSG in their last two matches.

Lorient’s losses weren’t terrible. Nice is a quality club while Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best teams in the world. Backing Lorient makes sense.

Monaco has won 4 straight. None of the wins were versus teams as good as Marseille. This could go either way. The best play is on the draw.
