While past champions and major winners naturally attract attention, the Memorial Tournament is known for its potential for captivating upsets.
This is one of the five tournaments that is handled with invitations from the PGA Tour.
This field is set at 120 players. Patrick Cantley is the last guy to win this event twice, as he took it down in 2019 and 2021.

The top golfer in the world has had quite the season. Not only with his successes on the course, but his arrest off the course in Louisville. Scheffler also welcomed a new baby.
There is not much that bothers him, with 4 wins, and 11 Top 10 finished, along with 12 Top 25 finishes.
He leads all of the PGA Tour in strokes gained and scoring average, and is third in greens in regulation.
Heading into this tournament, he comes in as the big favorite to win it all.

Xander Schauffele +900
It has been a really strong season for Schauffele. He has three wins and 9 Top 10 finishes, along with 12 Top 25 finishes.
Outside of Scheffler, there has not been a hotter golfer on the tour.
He won the PGA Championship, which came just a week after finishing runner up at the Wells Fargo. Schauflele is fifth in scrambling, and has the second best scoring average on the tour.
If you are not betting Scheffler, Schauffele at 9/1 is a great choice as well.

Rory Mcllroy +900
The 35 year old is third on the tour. Rory has had some drama off the course, as he is doing through some personal matters.
He has certainly not let that take too big of a toll on him.
In May, Rory won the Wells Fargo, finished 12th at the PGA Championship and went for fourth place at the RBC Canadian Open.
He continues to drive the ball well.
He needs to work a bit on greens in regulation and putting, but if those get nailed down, look out!

Collin Morikawa +1400
The 27 year old from California is fourth on the tour in driving accuracy coming into this event. He will need to be accurate on this course.
Morikawa is ranked sixth in the FedEx Cup rankings, and 8th in the world rankings.
His last time out was at the Charles Schwab. He finished fourth place, and earned nearly $450K in prize money.
He also finished in a tie for fourth at the PGA Championship.
That was more than 800K in winnings.

Viktor Hovland +1800
Chance to go back to back for Hovland. At 18/1 odds, why not, right? Hovland is ranked 5th in the world rankings, and 55th on the FedEx Cup.
Hovland’s best game right now is proximity to hole, as he is 27th among tour players.
He has yet to win an event this season, and has just one Top 10 finish. If anywhere is going to get him fired up for the 2024 season it’s Dublin.
Do not be surprised if he is among the leaders heading into Sunday. Hovland is 18/1!

When we go to make our bets for this event, of course the couple favorites at the top are in good shape.
Great golfers and playing well. But, we are going to go with two other guys.
First, we will take Hovland at 18/1. Too much value there to pass that one up.
The other is going to be Tommy Fleetwood at 35/1. Fleetwood can get hot, and if he does, this is a guy that can run the course.
