Irideo, Cabo Spirit, and Exaulted will have their fans. Bob Baffert trained Du Jour and War At Sea from the Ron Ellis barn will go off at overlay odds.

Del Mar Handicap | Grade 2

Connections for Balnikhov may decide to run in the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap. Balnikhov and Gold Phoenix both hail from the D’Amato barn. Phil may want to keep them separate on Saturday.

If Balnikhov goes, he will break from the gate the chalk. Peter Miller trained None Above the Law will go off second choice and either Cathkin Peak, another D’Amato runner, or John Sadler trained Missed the Cut will go off the third choice.

Masteroffoxhounds, Offlee Naughty, Azul Coast, and Salesman should also run.
