The NBA All-Star Game takes place Sunday night in Utah, and the league remains on hiatus until Thursday, when it returns with a slate of nine games on the schedule, including the Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies vs. Philadelphia 76ers.
Most teams in the league have played close to 60 games, meaning they have fewer than two dozen games remaining this season. There’s plenty of intriguing races to follow as the Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks jostle for first place in the East, while the surprising Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and Dallas Mavericks battle for the secondary spots behind first-place Denver Nuggets. Let’s take a look at some of the most important games this week for your NBA Betting.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Philadelphia 76ers
When: Thursday, February 23
Where: Wells Fargo Center
Time: 7:30 PM ET
TV: TNT
The 76ers host the Grizzlies on Thursday in what should be one of the best games of the night. Memphis – Ja Morant specifically – has plenty to prove now that the landscape of the Western Conference has shifted. Morant famously said, “I’m fine in the West” earlier this season, and he’ll have to prove that down the stretch this season.
Morant is averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists, and 6 rebounds per game this season. He had a poor shooting night – 8-for-26 – in his last game before the break against the Utah Jazz. Sixers forward and MVP candidate Joel Embiid is leading the league in scoring with 33.1 PPG.
Philadelphia is 23-8 at home this season and won four in a row heading into the break. Memphis is just 11-17 on the road, so don’t hesitate to take the Sixers against the spread (ATS) on Thursday.
Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers
When: Friday, February 24
Where: Crypto.com Arena
Time: 10:30 PM ET
TV: NBA TV
The Kings have been the best story of the season. Sacramento hasn’t made the playoffs since 2006, and they’re not only poised to make it this season but currently sit third place in the Western Conference. Six Kings players are averaging double-digit PPG, including De’Aaron Fox, with a team-leading 24.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
The Clippers are surprisingly just 15-13 at home this season. They won two in a row before the break over the Suns and Golden State Warriors.
Los Angeles is 23-11 this season when Kawhi Leonard plays. He’ll have at least a week of rest by Friday’s game, so expect a rested and competitive Clippers team at home. They won’t be favored by too much either. Back the Clippers ATS on Friday.
Phoenix Suns vs. Milwaukee Bucks
When: Sunday, February 26
Where: Fiserv Forum
Time: 1:00 PM ET
TV: ABC
Phoenix, with the acquisition of Kevin Durant, is poised to make a late-season run toward the top of the Western Conference. Durant has still yet to play for the Suns, but the team is 7-3 in its last 10 games.
The Suns also added Terrance Ross on the buyout market. He gives them even more spacing and, along with Durant, should help improve a league-average offense. Phoenix ranks 16th in offensive rating at 115.1. Milwaukee, however, has won 12 in a row and are 24-5 at home.
This will be a tough one. The break may have hindered Milwaukee’s momentum, and the Suns will be a much improved second-half team. The best bet here is the over – it has hit in 19 of Milwaukee’s 29 home games and half of Phoenix’s road games.
