Forget the Odds... Who Will Win it All Out of the Final Four?

Who Will Win it All Out of the Final Four?

The NCAA Final Four is coming up this weekend. The four teams will invade Phoenix for the final three games of the College Basketball season. There are a couple surprises in the big dance, while there are a couple teams that people knew would be here. Two #1 seeds are in the big dance, a #4 seed, and a big underdog in an 11 seed.

Both the Houston Cougars and North Carolina Tar Heels are the top two teams seeded that are not in the big dance. All the 2 seeds and 3 seeds were eliminated as well. This tournament did not see any 15 or 16 seeds, but one 14 won a game, and that was Oakland over Kentucky.

Let’s take a look at the Final 4 and their lines on College Basketball, and discuss which team will win the NCAA Championship, regardless of what the odds and oddsmakers say.

2024 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament | 85th annual edition of the tournament

UConn Huskies

NCAA Basketball Championship Odds: UConn -185

The UConn Huskies are our pick to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. We do not care what their odds are to win the title or win their game on Saturday. Dan Hurley and his team are red hot.

This is the same team that won the title a season ago. They have won 10 straight NCAA Tournament games by double digits. In the win over Illinois on Saturday, the Huskies scored 30 straight points in the game.

Donovan Clingan has been really good in the tournament, as he went for 22 and 10 on Saturday, including 5 blocked shots. The Big East Champions have just three losses on the season; all on the road.

Of course, the Huskies won the title last season, but lost 8 games in that season. That was the first team to win it all with 8+ losses since the Huskies did it in 2014. That season they beat Kentucky and were led by Kevin Ollie.

The Huskies won the title in 2011 under Jim Calhoun, and that season they lost 9 games. They beat Butler 53-41 in Houston that season.

Purdue Boilermakers

NCAA Basketball Championship Odds: Purdue +190

The Big Ten Champions in the regular season have been tremendous in the postseason. Head Coach Matt Painter and his Boilermakers turned things around from the first round loss to Fairleigh Dickinson a season ago.

Big man Zach Edey scored 40 points and ripped down 16 rebounds in the emotional win over Tennessee on Sunday. Edey led all of College Basketball in scoring with 25 points per game. He was just ahead of Terrence Shannon of Illinois, who was at 23 points per game.

The Boilermakers have turned into one of the best three point shooting teams in the nation as well. Braden Smith, Fletcher Loyer and Lance Jones can all hit the big shot when needed. Through four games for Purdue, Edey has made 36 free throws.

For Purdue, they are looking for their first National Title in school history. The Boilermakers are also looking to help the Big Ten win their first title since Michigan State took down Florida back in 2000 at Indianapolis. Purdue won their first three tournament games over Grambling State , Utah State and Gonzaga.

North Carolina State Wolfpack

NCAA Basketball Championship Odds: North Carolina State +2000

Kevin Keats and his Wolf Pack were an 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament. When March arrived, the WolfPack were not going to be in the NCAA Tournament. North Carolina State won five games in five days, and now have won four in the big dance.

DJ Burns is the talk of the tournament. Burns dominated Duke in the paint, scoring 29 points in 29 minutes of action.  He was 13 of 19 from the field. The big man is going to go up against Zach Edey on Saturday. Can he keep up with the massive size of the Purdue big man?

NC State has eliminated Texas Tech, Oakland, Marquette and Duke in the big dance. They are third, as we like both the Huskies and Boilermakers more than them. Of course, basketball fans are familiar with the North Carolina State team of 1983. It was their first and only national title in school history.

That Wolf Pack team beat Houston by a low score of 54-52. Since then the Atlantic Coast Conference has won a handful of national titles. The last time the conference won it all was in 2019. That was the Virginia Cavaliers. They went 35-3 under Tony Bennett and took down Texas Tech in overtime in Minneapolis.

Alabama Crimson Tide

NCAA Basketball Championship Odds: Alabama +1300

The only reason the Crimson Tide are fourth on this list is strongly because of who they will play on Saturday. Alabama gets a shot at the Connecticut Huskies first. Mark Sears and the Crimson Tide have been the top offensive team in all of College Basketball. Sears is scoring more than 21 points per game. Alabama late in the season have scored 100+ points twice.

Alabama beat Ole Miss, and scored 103 and they beat Charleston with 109 points.  After struggling at times during SEC play, the Crimson Tide have gone through Charleston, Grand Canyon, North Carolina and then Clemson. This is the first trip to the Final Four for Alabama.

Therefore they have never won a national title as well. Nate Oats and his Crimson Tide are one of the nation’s elite three point shooting teams. In fact, if the Crimson Tide do not get a lay-up, they are likely shooting one from downtown.

The last time a SEC school won a national title was in 2012 when the Kentucky Wildcats beat the Kansas Jayhawks in New Orleans. Before that, in 2006 the Florida Gators downed the UCLA Bruins in Indianapolis.

There you go. That is a look at the NCAA Final 4. And a look at which team will win the Championship. We do not care what the odds say, that’s our pick – the Connecticut Huskies. It would be back to back titles for the Huskies. Enjoy the games!

2022 Who Will Win it All Out of the Final Four?

Previous Betting News

This year is a very old school final four after the end of the Cinderella stories. The Miami Hurricanes lost to the Kansas Jayhawks, and the St. Peter’s Peacocks lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Three of our Final Four teams are college blue bloods, and you may be able to consider Villanova in that discussion.

The Final Four teams include the Villanova Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina Tar Heels, and the Duke Blue Devils. There are so many storylines coming out of this, especially on the left side of the bracket. One of the greatest rivalries in college basketball will mark another chapter in its historic run.

What could arguably be one of the most historic matchups in the history of the NCAA, with North Carolina looking to end Coach Kryzewski’s career. Duke, on the other hand, is looking to send Coach K out victorious with a National Championship. So get ready to bet on the Final Four games.

March Madness Final Four Games

Team to Win it All

The Duke Blue Devils will be the team to win the National Championship. Have your headlines ready because Coach K will leave at the top of the nation with a victory.

The regular-season champions out of the ACC finished second at the conference tournament and came into the NCAA Tournament as a two-seed. Duke currently has a record of 32-6 on the season, and they have been solid in the NCAA Tournament so far.

To get to the Final Four, Duke beat Cal State Fullerton in the first round, 78-61. For the first time, Coach K and Mike Izzo met in the second round, where Duke won 85-76.

The Blue Devils had a late comeback against Texas Tech in the third round for a 78-73 victory. In the Elite Eight matchup, Duke fended off the pesky Arkansas Razorbacks 78-69.

Headlined by a star freshman, Paolo Banchero has led the Blue Devils this season in scoring and rebounds. On the season, Banchero averages 17.1 points per game and 7.7 rebounds. Banchero has led Duke in scoring in three of the four games this postseason already.

The Blues Devils have a little bit of everything in terms of play on the court. Wendell Moore Jr. is second in points per game on the season for Duke with 13.5 points. Duke has a total of five players averaging double figures on the season.

Runner-Up

We see a Duke vs Kansas matchup in the NCAA Championship. With the injury at the end of the game to Justin Moore, that takes a lot of scoring away from Villanova. The Wildcats are very disciplined, and they are a great team, but when you take away their second-leading scorer, that hurts them very bad.

Led by Ochai Agbaji, the Kansas Jayhawks are a real threat in the final games. Agbaji averages 18.9 points per game to lead Kansas this season. The Jayhawks are the final #1 seed left in the tournament after Arizona lost to Houston in the Sweet 16.

In the end, Duke will win their sixth National Championship in program history and sending Coach K off as a winner and a national champion.

2021 Coronavirus (COVID-19) NCAAB Update – April 5th Edition

Previous Betting News

We’ve finally made it! The National Championship game is tonight! In what many thought would be impossible, the NCAA made it happen and we’ll see the final game of the season take place on Monday night. Something that has happened recently is happening on Monday night, as the two best teams in the tournament will square off in the National Championship game, as the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs will take on the Baylor Bears. With that in mind, let’s take a look to our latest NCAAB update so you can keep betting against their College Basketball odds.

NCAA Basketball COVID-19 Update – April 5th Edition

Baylor advanced to the title game by defeating the Houston Cougars on Saturday night. Baylor jumped out to a large lead and never looked back, as their athleticism on both ends of the floor was just too much for Houston to handle. Baylor’s defense took Houston out of what they wanted to do, and the pick and roll game of the Bears was too aggressive for Houston to stop.

In one of, if not the best game of the tournament, Gonzaga defeated UCLA in overtime. After Johnny Juzang scored to tie up the game with just over three seconds left, Mark Few elected not to take a timeout. Gonzaga inbounded the ball to Jalen Suggs, and after three dribbles, Suggs pulled up from about 40 feet and banked in a three pointer at the buzzer to defeat the Bruins and send Gonzaga to the title tilt.

The Bears bring a 27-2 record into the National Championship game, while Gonzaga is undefeated at 31-0. No team has finished the season undefeated since the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers’ team, so that will be a big storyline in the National Championship game.

If Baylor is to defeat the favored Bulldogs, they will need to stop Gonzaga’s powerful offense. Gonzaga loves to get out and go, so transition defense will be huge for Baylor. If Baylor can force Gonzaga to slow down and grind out possessions, and if they can keep the Zags off of the offensive glass, they’ll have a great shot at winning this game.

Gonzaga will need Corey Kispert to play better than he has throughout the tournament. Kispert has not shot the ball well, and if he continues to struggle, it will make things difficult for Gonzaga. Baylor’s athleticism will also present a challenge for Gonzaga on the defensive end of the floor. Baylor has the ability to switch every screen, so this could pose a huge challenge for Gonzaga.

These two teams have been anointed the two best teams throughout the whole season. Very rarely do we see this scenario in a title game. This game was supposed to take place in December, but it had to be cancelled due to COVID issues. Both of these teams are very athletic, and both play very similar styles. We see this one being a very close game and coming down to the final minutes. Gonzaga is the better offensive team, and that will give them the advantage in this one.

This one comes down to the final minute, but Gonzaga ends up being too good for Baylor. We see Mark Few finally winning that elusive national title. Zags win 74-70.
